👾These ADHD Monsters are not necessarily intentional or due to lack of effort, but a result of how neurodivergent brains are wired.

📝Testing to confirm or rule out ADHD can be especially helpful to distinguish underlying causes, but also reduce feelings of anxiety, frustration, and shame. It also opens doors for additional support at school & work.

✔ADHD Medication management is available for ages 14 & older. (Illinois Only)
✔Appointments are usually available in 2-3 weeks and vary by clinician.

🎨Art therapy is effective for individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. It helps with processing traumatic experiences by providing a non-verbal outlet for individuals to express feelings that may be difficult to articulate.

🧠Engaging in art therapy helps activate the brain's ability to form new connections. This can help break rigid thought patterns and facilitate healing. For individuals with cognitive decline or communication difficulties, art therapy can enhance interaction with caregivers and family members, improving overall quality of life.

It's OCD Awareness Week. 📣

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder symptoms can cause intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that interfere with daily life.

Some possible signs & symptoms:
-Repeatedly checking if doors are locked or appliances turned off.
-Intense stress when things are not arranged in a specific order.
-Fear of contamination/germs from touching objects or being in contact with others.
-Compulsive behaviors, such as excessive hand washing or counting.
-The need to repeat actions or phrases over and over again to lessen anxiety or prevent negative things from happening.
