I love helping a new client get their first aid ⛑ stations set up!

Jeanna Smith is getting a first aid kit for kitchen at The Center For Head Injury Service.

I was excited to see how they help so many people there.

🚨 When it comes to first aid kits, size matters⛑

The size of the first aid kit you need will depend upon the number of people working in a facility and the types of injuries that are expected to arise.

Take a look at your past incident reports to help see the types of injuries that happen at your worksite. 🧐

Having a kit that is too small or with limited inventory may mean you do not have the necessary supplies to treat an employee's injury or illness.😕

A first aid kit that is too large or contains inventory that you never use may mean that supplies expire before they are used, thus wasting money. 💰 🗑

For example, an office that has a few employees may only need a small type #16 unit or #24 unit first aid kit to treat minor injuries such as headaches, nausea, paper cuts and scrapes.

Large commercial kitchens or manufacturing facilities will require larger, more specialized first aid kits that have supplies to treat more serious injuries such as burns, cuts from blades, and mild to moderate aches and pains.

Take a look at your kit to see what supplies you have been using and also the condition of the kit. 🧰

What class of first aid kit do you have,
Class A or Class B? ⛑

Class A kits are designed to deal with the most common types of workplace injuries.

Class B kits are designed with a broader range and quantity of supplies to deal with injures in more complex or high-risk environments.

Our Story

Do you every worry how you would manage a life threatening emergency at your company or how your business would recover form a disaster?

Command-Solutions is owned and operated by a group of retired Professional Fire Chief Officers. During our 30 plus years of responding to thousands of emergencies and disasters, we noticed one circumstance that was present at a great number of incidents. The occupants, families, or businesses who were the victims were in very large part, not prepared to manage, cope, or deal with the immediate results of the emergency or event. We decided that this issue needed to be addressed.

Our mission is to train Administrators, Managers, and Staff Members from any size and type of business or organization how to effectively prepare for, safely respond to, and recover from a situation of any magnitude.

According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), more than “40% of businesses never reopen after a disaster, and for those that do, only 29% were still operating after two years”. Having the resources, trained personnel ready to immediately respond has been shown to save lives, limit losses, and help improve the recovery time objective.
