Hey! I have some huge news! Orofacial Myology Practice and Sprout Speech Therapy with Robynn Mattson and Halley Sims will be collaborating together to give our patients comprehensive access to each businesses expertise! Im so excited for this!

Even better news these girls are doing free consultations in their maryville office in the month of August! Meeting with these girls they truly care about each patient they see! ♥️

Hey everyone! I wanted to come on here to update everyone. I want to thank you all for your patience with me while I'm working my tail end off to get everyone scheduled and accommodate busy life schedules! I have some waiting on me and I will be making phone calls this coming week along with new current bills if you have made payments this will reflect! If we have payment arrangements no need to worry! Thanks so much for everyone's support and keeping me busy! I love each one of my patients!

Another progress before and after 4 sessions of myofunctional therapy. Him and his family have done so well 🥹♥️ im so proud of them! I can't wait for the next 8 sessions!

In short main things you can see:

First picture before:
-not able to lift posterior (back) of the tongue up. You can tell in the photo the tip of the tongue comes up at a 90 degree angle and the back of the tongue wants to sit on the floor of the mouth.
- lower jaw forward (protruded).

Second picture so far progress. ♥️ the whole tongue is completely lifting and lower jaw is not as protruded as before. We still have more progress to come and im so excited!

To help guide jaw relation, sleeping patterns, airway as well patient is in a sleeping device with my Dr.

Hello everyone! I know I am jammed packed between consultations and treatment appointments so I wanted to inform everyone I will be gone Thursday through the weekend to south Missouri. Scheduling may be a little tricky this week, but please bare with me as this continuing education is vital in order for me to give my patients in and out of the office the best care I possibly can with the forever evolving information in the dental world. I will be in classes from 9-5pm and important social functions after those are completed. I will get back to everyone asap if you call, text or fb message me!

Just sharing some progress pictures from a patient I see!

This is just 3 sessions in, 9 to go! She is doing so well, as well as her family with helping her at home to guide exercises from me! I'm so excited to see her end results.

Top: before, main points you're looking at: tight lingual frenum (this is the thin band of tissue under the tongue), floor of the mouth lifting with the tongue, posterior (back) portion of the tongue had a hard time lifting (low tongue posture). We are also correcting a tongue thrust.

Bottom: now. The results show themselves. 🙂♥️

This is just a TINY glimpse of fun facts about myofunctional therapy. There are so many fun dynamics that play roles into this. This doesn't even hit tongue posture, tongue ties, tongue thrusts, etc. or other reasons for weak Orofacial muscles.
