This weekend we hope to spread a by raising money for our Four Diamond families! We are so incredibly proud of all of our dancers, and we can’t wait to spend the weekend supporting them and Zooming with our wonderful families! This year might look a lot different, but our mission remains the same. Cancer does not stop, so neither can we.

As you know, DASH is a special-interest organization through Penn State’s THON that raises money to help in the fight against pediatric cancer.

This year, we are proud to say DASH has broken our fundraising record by raising a grand total of $33,603.33 for THON 2020!! Not only that, but it has pushed us over the $100,000 benchmark for money raised by DASH since it’s start in 2014!!! We would like to thank our hard working members, and anyone who has given time and money into making DASH what it is today.

This past Saturday, a couple members of DASH had the pleasure of visiting Kyle and the Vosburg family. We had pizza, many laughs, and an overall great time. We would like to thank Dawn Leister Vosburg Madison Vosburg Kyle and the Vosburg family as a whole for the hospitality.

Tomorrow, members of DASH will be starting their 2020 spring semester. For some, it will be their last semester of their undergraduate studies at Penn State. For others, it is just the beginning of their short stay at Penn State and with DASH. That being said, we would love to show what we have done over the fall.

We had a great semester starting with our retreat and from there began fundraising. We went apple picking, canvassing, on a ribbon sales trip, and much more. Finally, to finish our excellent semester, we welcomed the Ulsh family into our DASH family!

Hello friends! As you know, DASH raises money to fight pediatric cancer by being a special-interest organization through Penn State's THON. Recently, THON has set a goal of raising at least $500,000 between the dates of October 13 and October 29 of 2019, and DASH is doing its part to help achieve this goal!

Along with providing financial and emotional support, Four Diamonds provides psychological counseling to all our families, helping them to communicate and heal after a cancer diagnosis. A $500 gift will support five hours of counseling, critical to supporting our families through and beyond their fight.

This past Saturday, DASH had its first retreat of THON 2019-2020! Members gathered to play lawn games like spike ball and volleyball. It was a great day of getting to know everyone and we look forward to more events with each other soon!

$28,575.79 raised by DASH this year all for the kids! Our members blew it out of the water this year and raised almost DOUBLE our initial goal for the year!

We can't wait to see what this wonderful group of dedicated students has in store for next year!
