Coyote Medicine.

I drew this card at the outset of the month. I’m quite familiar with Coyote and the ways it shows up, how it works, what to look for.

It’s the trickster, someone who has a hidden motive, or isn’t being honest with you.

It’s also about our inner narratives, the stories we tell ourselves, or how we aren’t true to ourselves.

Since this card appeared, I’ve been on the lookout. And, I’ve not only seen a full grown, utterly beautiful coyote in person, I heard a pack of them howling in the distance as I hiked last week.

My senses are keen and I’ve kept my vigilance up, looking for the coyote(s). Sure enough, I’ve identified one (long story) and realized that people like tRump are coyote.

Then yesterday I came across the poem below I wrote not long ago, and realized it’s also about Coyote.

Throughout the rest of this month I’ll be keeping my eyes and ears out for all the coyotes. Potent f$cking ally.

Parliament of the World's Religions has put forth a Call and is holding events, raising awareness and sewing seeds of hope for the future of our world.

Their current initiative is called FOCUS24: Faith, Democracy and our common future - a path forward.

I think it's programs like this, bringing together people of heart from all walks of life, backgrounds, and belief systems that MAKE A DIFFERENCE. They engage in thoughtful dialog, and hold the vision of hope, peace and Democracy as the way forward.

Hello Dear Ones,

I'm holding the next Full Moon Teaching Circle on Friday, February 23rd at 7:30, just prior to the Full Moon in Virgo.

This month's topic will be about polarity - the Yin/Yang aspects of energy, and honoring the Divine aspects of Feminine and Masculine polarities.

A dear friend of mine will be visiting and adding wonderful context and nuance to the conversation.

This is our first circle for 2024! I'm excited to continue our community, connections, learning, and activities.

This is a year of change with Pluto's ingress into Aquarius which brings about transformation energy that will come about on a global level as well as a personal level for each of us- especially in whatever House Aquarius occupies in your natal astrology chart.

I've learned over time that when change is happening, we gain the most by learning to let go, surrender, and partner with changes taking place- no matter how challenging or painful they may seem at first. Another worthwhile approach is to become incredibly curious about changes as they occur.

This evening's New Moon in Aquarius is the BEST New Moon this year to set intentions and bless them, in keeping with Imbolc (Wheel of the Year agrarian calendar) and for the Chinese New Year of the Wood Dragon.

For myself, I will be doing some letting go and clearing work beforehand.
Then, as the New Moon takes hold I plan to set intentions through meditation and visualization, lighting a candle and some incense, calling in my Guides, and writing down my intentions. Once intentions are set, I will bless them.

I will be making some announcements soon about my Tarot 101 course, and hopefully some exciting news for engagement on the local level.

Venus is trying to get your attention.

She’s always doing this.

The Goddess of Love, Money and Beauty does not faun and preen to garner attention. She’s often more subtle and profound than that.

🌸She whispers quietly and lovingly within. She’s the voice of your heart.

🌸She struts by in her languid, sensual way, capturing your gaze.

🌸She sings like a siren, drawing you magnetically towards all you desire.

🌸She’s a scintillating touch, and the musky smell of Mother Earth and Father Sky, getting it on, procreating all of Nature.

Here’s the thing though:

She is Retrograde in Leo.

She’s done being nice and is bored by your lack of awareness, indifference, complacency and constant distraction.

She’s gone Dark, spending time in the Underworld. She’s not f # around anymore.

Venus is the Dark Goddess.

Venus as Love is the toughest, most intense, grueling teacher we have. She will tear you open so that love can find Its way in. This is why Her retrogrades are more rare and spaced farther apart than the other planets in our solar system.

She’s like a badass do******ix about to whip your ass into shape if you ignore Her and don’t do what She says.

What is Venus’ agenda while Retrograde?
It’s a reckoning.

She’s calling you out.

🖤She wants to know what you value. She asks you if you even know the answer to this question.

🖤She wants to know how you love, who you love, how you communicate that love.

🖤Venus asks you how you can truly love, value, and honor yourself better.

🖤She’s wondering what you’ve learned or are learning about money.

🖤Venus wants you to celebrate and embody beauty.

🖤She has messages for everyone in hopes that they’ll wake TF up once and for all. She even has a message meant just for you.

I didn't think I'd ever do this again...

Venus Retrograde – Descending to RISE
A 1-day intensive experience on Saturday, August 26, 10am-5pm

I led this experiential Descent in January 2022 - the last time Venus was Retrograde in Capricorn - and didn't think I would ever offer it again.

Part of why I thought that was because of the PROFOUND impact this offering made on my life. It was and is Inanna's Descent.

Venus is one of the only planets in our solar system that is a Feminine God. She holds that distinction alone among the planets.

She retrogrades seldom compared to other planets – only once every year and a half or so – for 40 days and 40 nights. Because She rules Love, Money, beauty, and self-worth, I like to say She rules the World!

This year Venus retrogrades through the sign of Leo. Her retrograde began on July 22, 2023, and ends on September 3rd/4th. She will be in Her Shadow until early October, giving us time to review and integrate the lessons we learned.

Leo is the sign of Sovereignty, leadership, creativity, fun, and close friends, early romance, childlike wonder. She is the Queen in Leo. Because She’s in Leo, we will also be confronting themes of leadership- particularly how we lead ourselves.

As Venus retrogrades, She descends into the Underworld, speaking to our deep subconscious. We are led through an initiation that takes us through the dark terrain of facing our fears, our demons, wounds and the losses we’ve endured.
We tend to think of Her as beautiful, loving, sensual, beneficent. And, when She retrogrades Her darkness emerges, catalyzing a confrontation with all the Shadows we carry within us. She facilitates this confrontation with love, encouraging us to love ourselves- to love and honor our Darkness- more completely.

Venus Retrograde is the Dark Goddess. Persephone embodied. She knows there’s plenty of beauty, power and magic in confronting our Shadows.

If I’ve been quiet on here it’s because I’ve been settling into my new home, enjoying the new energy, building furniture, placing things, runs to Lowe’s 😜-

You know- homeowner stuff! (So many things!)

It’s peaceful and beautiful here.

Tomorrow sees me encountering a first:
After 23 years of performing weddings, tomorrow morning will be my first time officiating a sunrise ceremony.

It’ll be on a scenic summit inside the Shenandoah National Park, and I just know it’ll be truly magical.

Please know I’m drumming out my prayers each morning in nature, and you’re all included.
