Hi, I'm back 🫠 Past few years have been rough and my health and fitness have taken a backseat. I’m ready to reclaim my body and get it back into shape. David and I just finished up WEEK 2 of LIIFT4 this week. Peep that baby bicep💪🏻 This is my 2nd time thru but might as well be my 1st 🥵After taking a couple months off of working out (thanks a lot anxiety and depression 😏) I. Am. Weak. BUT I’m looking to change that.
LIIFT4 combines traditional lifting moves with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) for a calorie torching workout. It’s only 4 days a week so you have time to recover and LIVE YOUR LIFE.

“You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first.” •

This quote is a truth-bomb that has hit me HARD. For most of my life I have been a people pleaser and have a hard time saying no. 🤐This has caused my cup to run dry at times leaving me a mess. If we give, give, give without taking in rest, good food, positive thoughts, etc we quickly will become depleted. •

These past few months I’ve been working on rebuilding myself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Self care is in the little things like eating a healthy meal, taking any necessary meds, and simply getting out of bed! •

Beachbody and Shakeology have been awesome in helping me rebuild myself. Instead of having to go into a crowded gym with a bunch of grunty dudes to lift weights I can just go to my living room 💁🏼‍♀️
Instead of heading to the drive-thru for a quick meal, I can head to my kitchen a blend up a delicious superfood smoothie in a snap 🤩 •

GET OUTSIDE AND PLAY! 🧗‍♀️🤸‍♀️ As a little kid I’d run around in the woods, climbing trees, and making forts with my friends.
As I grew older, I played less because that’s what society tells us is part of being a “grownup.” But you know what? Playing is part of being a happy healthy human! We need to move our bodies. We need to use our creativity and imagination. We need nature. If you keep yourself cooped up all day doing work and acting “grownup” you’re gonna be unhappy. Trust me I’ve been there (goodbye cubicle life). P.c. 📸:

This weekend was filled with fresh air, blue skies, and sunshine. My heart is full and happy 💛

I’ve made it a goal to get outside and walk every day. The benefits have been amazing! I’ve felt more productive and less anxious. Nature has a way of calming my soul like nothing else so I’m glad it’s finally nice enough to get out there.
