Monica Celli- de Movellan MA Ed~RYT, Ordained Minister
is inspired by the therapeutic qualities and strengthening benefits that Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness brings to every body. Wether you are a high performance athlete or someone who is in pain. Monica has found that Yoga and Horseback Riding are directly related and that one benefits the other greatly. On the mat Monica offers a conscious experience for the practitioner, leaving the body feeling strengthened, relaxed, renewed and the mind peace filled. The Equestrian body has very specific needs, regardless of your riding discipline the postures meet the specific to the needs of the riders' body. She offers a class that nourishes, by calming the nervous system, and increases flexibility to the body and mind, through a breath centered practice. Students are given permission to listen to the bodies inner wisdom, encouraging the postures and breath to meet you exactly as you are, today. Yoga on horseback, offers the rider an increase in body awareness and connection to your horse. Many of the postures focus on suppleness of hips and spine, as we ask this of our horse, it is important we care for ourselves the same way. She believes that being on your mat or your horse is a great way to get out of our heads and into our bodies; a luxury, that in our busy lives, we rarely permit ourselves. Yoga with the Horses is divine. Sensory awareness, supple & strengthen, relax and be with and among the healing herd. Monica has been 'part horse' since she was a small child. From bareback in the woods for hours, to gymkhana, hunter jumper, to practicing upper level dressage and training her previously wild mustang Belle to be a well mannered partner. And Belle has been teaching Monica about the finer details of her energy. She has been a professional educator for 3 decades teaching Art, Yoga, Meditation and the subtleties of energy awareness and body mechanics. Please see www.monicacelli.com for more information
