Our Story
"How Many Grams” is our competition BBQ Cooking Team that started out with the goal to learn about the BBQ competition world from a different point of view in an effort to become a better BBQ Cook Off Promoter. Led by Steve Grams and joined by brothers, friends, cousins and even parents once in a while, we have been doing competitions since 2013 and have come a long way. We won our first Grand Champion in January 2015 in Spring Branch, Texas a the 64-team event Rangers Smoke-Off.
Some of our most notable accomplishments include 6th brisket at the 2014 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Cook-Off out of 247 teams. Also, we took home a 1st place Rib call in Uvalde, Texas in 2017 out of 174 of the toughest teams in Texas BBQ. We hit first ribs in Spring Branch, Texas twice and in Navasota, Texas once. In Navasota the following year, we got rib and chicken calls and won Reserve Grand Champion. Another Reserve Grand Champion came from San Angelo at the 2016 Brews and Ewes cook-off.
We have a room full of trophies and awards. Seems like we listed all of them on a Google map once. Perhaps we’ll share that link. More important than trophies is spending quality time with friends and family.
