MILITARY PTSD: IT'S NOT SU***DE WHEN MILITARY PERSONNEL TAKE THEIR OWN LIVES; IT'S MURDER. THIS PODCAST IS IN MEMORY OF SAM, AND SO MANY OTHERS LIKE HIM. IT HAS TO STOP!

When military personnel take their own lives, because they can't live with the symptoms of PTSD, it is not SU***DE, it is MURDER! They have been failed by military leaders, politicians, and even the doctors supposed to guide their care, who have had the answer to PTSD since WW1. Every death of a military person due to PTSD is because of their negligence, or worse. If they knew, in 1916, how to stop PTSD symptoms, dead, why was that knowledge not carried forward?
Why is it not taught in military training colleges along with battle history? Why do senior military leaders look away when challenged and even pretend PTSD does not exist?
Why are the politicians not making the funds available for the cheapest, fastest, form of treatment?
Why are the Military Mental Health Commissioning Group of the NHS in the UK refusing to even talk to former PTSD sufferers, who paid or secured their own treatment, and know it works. Fast.
Why is the military, the government, and the NHS letting men and women die, when they don't need to? They knew what to do in WW1. In WW2 they came back to it, when other insane methods didn't work. In Vietnam they used the WW1 methods. It is called clinical hypnotherapy, and it can save every single person sitting there now battling horrendous PTSD symptoms.
There are dozens of former military and former first responder practitioners who charge peanuts just to get people well. They can employ their own. But the people with the budgets won't engage.
Instead they pile useless drugs on people, give money to charities which refuse to even read the 1916 and 1943 case histories, and just abandon them. If you think it is bad now, during Northern Ireland, military personnel were discharged for having an asthenic personality. Asthenic means WEAK. I would say the men I treated who were in Northern Ireland, some of them used for sniper bait, who have struggled for decades with PTSD, were the least weak people I ever met - just like those survivors of WW1.
Many of the senior military leaders I have met, who were in N.I, don't even want to talk about it while their men now are DYING!!!! 30 to 40 year olds, 50 - 60 year olds, some of whom were just 18 when they were used and then abandoned.
Allowing even one more military PTSD sufferer to die - one more son, father, brother, husband, mother, daughter, wife - is MURDER. No other word for it. FIX IT NOW!!!!

When military personnel take their own lives, because they can't live with the symptoms of PTSD, it is not SU***DE, it is MURDER! They have been failed by mi...

One of the soldiers in my book, ‘The PTSD Solution: A Military Approach,’ kept having a flashback of a deserted street in Iraq, but in his vivid vision nothing ever happened. He just felt scared.

He didn't understand the message. Every time he walked the streets of the Scottish town where he lived, it was like he slipped through a portal, into that Iraqi street. Everything around him looked like Iraq. Eventually though, through catch PTSD hypnotherapy, he understood the body was trying to draw an analogy between that deserted, menacing, Iraqi street, and the streets of his youth in Dundee, where gangs had roamed and you could be stabbed or mugged at any moment, even as a young child. As soon as he understood that link, and remembered it, after being shown it in something like a dream in hypnotherapy, the flashback ceased. He never had one again. The message had been received.

If he hadn't understood it by using hypnotherapy, the body would have continued to ramp up the clues, meaning ramp up the symptoms, which for him would have meant increased anxiety, crippling hypervigilance, brain fog, pain, maybe even seizures. When the body can't talk to get its message across, symptoms is all it has, and it will just keep going, and going, and going until the sufferer does understand. There is no statute of limitations on PTSD. It just keeps getting worse until it's understood. In hypnotherapy you can harness the power of your body, and your mind, to explain it. And it does.

If you suffer from PTSD, I bet you have often wondered, if you do nothing, will it just get better? That makes sense after all doesn't it. If we have a cold ...

During World War II, a soldier was in a trench, advancing towards the German lines, and his friend was the scout, going ahead.
The scout was seized by the N***s. The soldier was in the ditch with three or four other soldiers. He took out a gr***de, intending to throw it towards the N***s, but was afraid he might kill his friend. He was also very afraid he would reveal his own position, which might mean that he and everybody with him would die, rather than just his friend. So, he didn't throw the gr***de and his friend was captured. He never saw him again.
The soldier made it home after the war, and over the next few months his hand began to close into a very painful closed fist. It was impossible to open his hand, and he had absolutely no idea why. He visited a trail of doctors and not one understood. Eventually, he tried clinical hypnotherapy, and in a deeply-relaxed state, he was taken straight back to that ditch, and shown that he felt enormous guilt about letting his friend be killed to save himself, and the others.
His body showed him he had never processed the guilt, and so it had closed his hand up painfully tight, like he was holding a gr***de, until he paid attention; until he understood. By going back to that ditch, in that deeply-relaxed state, he was able to understand that he had had Hobson's choice. There was nothing he could do. He may well have thrown the gr***de and killed his own friend too, but equally, that may have meant that the people who were with him would also die.
Just being able to rationalise that, in the subconscious state, and being able to understand that he had had to make a split-second decision, was enough for him to release the guilt of the dilemma. All paralysis in his hand disappeared before he woke from hypnosis and never returned. That is a case history from a book called ‘Hypnotherapy of War Neuroses,’ by John Watkins, who was an American military psychiatrist in WW2. Hypnotherapy is really ‘psychological archaeology’.

PTSD is a whole gamut of symptoms, which come under the umbrella of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The symptoms of PTSD are specific to each person. So, whe...

People often ask, 'Can hypnotherapy erase bad memories?' People don't want to be plagued by upsetting memories, and wonder if hypnotherapy is like using the 'flashy thingy' in Men in Black. No, hypnotherapy doesn't do that. It actually does the opposite! It allows you to dig down to find the very first memory that was ever upsetting, which is fueling the emotional charge to ALL your upsetting memories. When you find that first one, using hypnotherapy, it is like it turns off the emotion attached to it - and to all the other things you really wish you didn't remember as well. In that instant, life changes! Your mind and your body does not react the same way anymore. Things like anxiety, hyper vigilence, pain, high blood pressure disappear. The memory is still there, but there is no emotional link. If you would like to hear me explain this in greater detail, have a listen.

Many clients ask me, can PTSD erase upsetting memories? My answer is no. Hypnotherapy does not erase memory. Hypnotherapy is about uncovering information, wh...
