As a registered nurse and integrative practitioner, she is passionate about helping others uncover root causes of dysfunction that can lead to "dis-ease" of the body, mind, and spirit. Through a holistic approach, she combines personalized health coaching, advanced lab testing, and integrative detoxification therapies to reduce inflammation and support the body’s natural healing process. Sara has a background in exercise science and is certified in health restoration coaching, functional nutrition, and emergency nursing. She has over 10 years of experience in a local emergency department and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at a Green Bay health sciences college. 🌿Your parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) is your body’s “rest, digest, AND heal” mode - the counterbalance to "fight or flight" (which most of us spend WAY too much of our time in).🌿

❓Why does this matter?
🅰️When the PSNS is active, your resting heart rate slows down, stress hormones drop, digestion improves, and healing can happen.

❓How can you support your PSNS?
🅰️Bringing your nervous system back into balance doesn’t have to be complicated. Start with small steps:
1️⃣Deep breathing - take mindful deep breaths throughout the day (especially before you eat and yes, in through the nose and out through the mouth).
2️⃣Calm moments - pause for a few moments for yourself each day, spend time in nature (unplugged), or take time to think of at least three things you're grateful for each day.
3️⃣Prioritize sleep - this is a big one! Develop a regular sleep routine and stick to it.

🌟With consistency, these small actions can make a BIG difference in easing stress and restoring your natural rhythm. Remember, your body cannot be balanced if it does not heal. It cannot heal if it does not rest. True wellness starts with slowing down!🌟
