Let’s stop fearing healthy fats... our bodies need them!

Foods like avocados provide essential nutrients, fiber, and heart-healthy fats that support long-term wellness. 🥑

The idea that all fats are “bad” is outdated, and understanding the difference between processed fats and whole-food fats is key to building a healthier relationship with what we eat.

Research shows that eating just TWO servings of avocado per week is linked to a significantly lower risk of heart disease.

One large study found a 16% lower risk of cardiovascular disease and a 21% lower risk of coronary heart disease among people who ate avocados regularly.

Most air fryers, even if they claim to be “stainless steel”, aren’t actually non-toxic (or even fully stainless steel!)

Most air fryers contain non-stick coatings which can come in contact or aerosolize onto your food.

Brands commonly say this if the exterior is stainless steel, not always the interior.”Stainless steel finish” or “brushed stainless steel” usually refers to the exterior only. Oftentimes, the cookie sheets or mesh trays used with the food are not stainless steel whatsoever. Most air fryers have non-stick interior walls for easy cleaning.

According to the EPA, on average, indoor air quality is 2-5 times more polluted than outdoor air quality.

Especially as we head into the colder months, an air purifier is crucial! The more, the merrier, but starting with one in your bedroom is a great start.

Some air purifiers release OZONE, which we prefer to avoid.

Conventional baby wipes can contain ingredients like...

→ Formaldehyde: A carcinogen and allergen, released from preservatives like DMDM Hydantoin, Quaternium-15 etc...

→ Fragrance: Often contains undisclosed chemicals (not necessary in wipes - especially around your most sensitive body parts)

→ Parabens: Linked to hormone disruption and commonly used as preservatives.

→ Phthalates: Known endocrine disruptors affecting hormone health.

→ Dyes: Can cause irritation or allergic reactions.

→ Bleach: Used for whitening but may be harsh on skin.

→ Methylisothiazolinone (MIT): A preservative linked to skin sensitivity.

→ Lotion: May contain synthetic chemicals not always disclosed.

→ PEG Ingredients: Can be contaminated with harmful byproducts.

→ Triclosan: Antibacterial agent with potential hormone effects.

→ Propylene Glycol: Can cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals.

→ Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB): Derived from coconut but may cause irritation.

🕯 Phthalates (endocrine disruptors)
🕯 Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
🕯 Carcinogens, like toluene, benzene, alkenes, formaldehyde…
🕯 Soot
🕯 Artificial dye

Common in wicks:
🕯 Lead (banned in USA in 2003, but used in other countries and may be imported)
🕯 Tin
🕯 Processed wood
🕯 Bleached cotton
