Dry mouth can increase the risk of cavities and gum disease by reducing the saliva needed to neutralize acids and wash away bacteria. Certain medications, medical conditions, and lifestyle factors can contribute to decreased saliva flow. Symptoms may go unnoticed at first, but can have a significant impact on oral health over time. We can help identify the cause and recommend strategies to manage dryness and protect teeth. Call (281) 494-3368 for more information.
