When I was younger I put so much pressure on myself for perfection, or what I perceived as my perfection. Pressure to look good, pressure to do well, in school, I guess as a kid, always being told how pretty you are, kind of messes with your mind a bit. You feel like you always need to look a certain way to be accepted.
I felt that way for a very long time. Don’t get me wrong, I still like to look nice and I still like to dress nice, but now…...I do it for me. I don't do it for the acceptance of others. I no longer have the insecurities that haunted my young adult life.
I have had four children. I had my last one at the age of 40. I have always made fitness a priority in my life, even through the darkest of times.
I will continue to be that person that tells you to move your body because it feels sooooo good!
I will not be the person to tell you to do it to impress others.
It has to be for you and only you.
Don’t try to be who you were 10 years ago.
Don’t strive for that body because you are setting yourself up for failure.
Be the best version of you today.
Do this for you.
Only for you.
You are important. You are awesome. You are worth it.
Stop comparing yourself to that photo album.
