Our Office Manager, Heather, is incredibly important to our team, and someone we rely on every single day as a steady, grounding presence. She brings a warmth that makes people feel comfortable right away. Whether she’s supporting our team, connecting with families, or giving seniors a place to tell their stories, everyday she shows up with a level of thoughtfulness and care we’re so fortunate to have.

So much of what she does happens behind the scenes, and shapes how our team is able to provide quality care to seniors and our partners every single day. We’re incredibly grateful for her and everything she brings to this team. Thank you for all you do, Heather! 🩷

Today we’re celebrating our Director of Care Navigation, Chantae Medina! 🤍

This is Chantae’s first birthday with Gentle Hearts in her role as Director of Care Navigation, and it already feels like she’s been such a meaningful part of this team for so much longer.

Before joining Gentle Hearts, Chantae spent nearly two decades in healthcare as a BSN, RN, with experience across geriatric care, oncology, and hospice. That foundation shows up in the way she cares for families every day, navigating complex situations with clarity and helping people feel more confident in what comes next.

Because of Chantae, we’ve been able to support more families and referral partners across the East Valley, serving as a trusted advocate as they navigate what comes next.

Chantae has brought such warmth and light to our team, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her. Happy Birthday, Chantae 🩷

This week we’re celebrating two wonderful years with Matt Shadle, MHA, CPRS, CDP!

Anyone who has worked with Matt knows the care, integrity, and thoughtfulness he brings to this work. Matt is a steady, thoughtful presence who immediately puts families at ease. He listens deeply, understands the decisions families are facing, and works closely with families and referral partners to help seniors find the care and support they deserve.

In addition to the incredible impact Matt continues to make at Gentle Hearts, he has also been instrumental in advancing ethical standards within the industry. As Co-President and a founding member of the Idaho chapter of the National Placement and Referral Alliance (NPRA), he is helping build a strong network of professionals committed to transparent, ethical placement and referral practices that elevate the standards of our industry and establish a benchmark for excellence across Idaho.

Helping seniors transition safely after a hospital stay truly takes a community. 💗

Last week, our Director of Care Navigation, Chantae Anderson Medina, and our Senior Placement and Referral Specialist, Zac Cisney (who also graciously volunteered as Chantae’s photographer for the day), attended the Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital Vendor Expo.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with hospital staff and fellow providers who all play an important role in supporting patients and families after discharge. From discharge planners and case managers to home health and placement specialists, each partnership helps ensure seniors can move safely and confidently into the next stage of care.

We’re so grateful to be part of a network of professionals who share the same goal: making sure families have access to trusted resources, guidance, and compassionate support when they need it most.

Not only is it International Women’s Day, but it’s also the birthday of our fearless founder, Michelle Medchill Sayles!

Michelle’s heart for serving seniors and families is what started Gentle Hearts Living Solutions, and that same heart continues to make a meaningful difference for so many families in our community.

Today we celebrate Michelle and all of the incredible women who make this work possible. Your compassion, dedication, and care are at the heart of everything we do.

One of the most rewarding parts of working in senior care is the relationships we build along the way. 🩷

This week our founder, Michelle Medchill Sayles had the chance to spend time with Lesley Myricks, Alicia Hobbs, and Kerri Wells from Avista Senior Living in Boise while attending the Avista National Conference here in Arizona.

Our Idaho team has developed wonderful relationships with the Avista communities in Boise, so it was special to spend time together here in our Phoenix home base.

The senior care community is full of dedicated people, and we love spending time with amazing people who share the same commitment to serving seniors!

Today, we’re celebrating our COO, Nicholas Sayles, and the incredible leadership and heart he brings to our team.

Nick plays an instrumental role in the growth and operational strength of Gentle Hearts. He does so much behind the scenes, often quietly, to equip our team and ensure we’re able to provide excellent and dignified support to seniors and their families. His steady presence, integrity, and commitment to our mission help create the foundation that allows us to serve families with confidence and compassion across Arizona and Idaho.

This comes right on the heels of our Social Media Manager, Lexi Metz, celebrating her birthday yesterday, and our Office Manager’s son celebrating earlier in the week. It has truly been such a joyful week for our team, full of gratitude and celebration.

We’re so thankful for each of you and the heart you bring to this work every day. The impact you make, both within our team and in the lives of the families we serve!
