Not only is it International Women’s Day, but it’s also the birthday of our fearless founder, Michelle Medchill Sayles!

Michelle’s heart for serving seniors and families is what started Gentle Hearts Living Solutions, and that same heart continues to make a meaningful difference for so many families in our community.

Today we celebrate Michelle and all of the incredible women who make this work possible. Your compassion, dedication, and care are at the heart of everything we do.

One of the most rewarding parts of working in senior care is the relationships we build along the way. 🩷

This week our founder, Michelle Medchill Sayles had the chance to spend time with Lesley Myricks, Alicia Hobbs, and Kerri Wells from Avista Senior Living in Boise while attending the Avista National Conference here in Arizona.

Our Idaho team has developed wonderful relationships with the Avista communities in Boise, so it was special to spend time together here in our Phoenix home base.

The senior care community is full of dedicated people, and we love spending time with amazing people who share the same commitment to serving seniors!

It’s been a week of celebration at Gentle Hearts Living Solutions. 🩷

Today, we’re celebrating our COO, Nicholas Sayles, and the incredible leadership and heart he brings to our team.

Nick plays an instrumental role in the growth and operational strength of Gentle Hearts. He does so much behind the scenes, often quietly, to equip our team and ensure we’re able to provide excellent and dignified support to seniors and their families. His steady presence, integrity, and commitment to our mission help create the foundation that allows us to serve families with confidence and compassion across Arizona and Idaho.

This comes right on the heels of our Social Media Manager, Lexi Metz, celebrating her birthday yesterday, and our Office Manager’s son celebrating earlier in the week. It has truly been such a joyful week for our team, full of gratitude and celebration.

We’re so thankful for each of you and the heart you bring to this work every day. The impact you make, both within our team and in the lives of the families we serve!

When families transition a loved one from their longtime home, there are often more moving pieces than people realize.

Last week, our team had the opportunity to welcome Ryan Gamlin of Move Forward AZ to discuss the importance of bringing clarity and organization to the transition process.

Having trusted professionals across the senior care community allows families to feel supported not just in placement — but in every step that surrounds it.

We’re grateful to collaborate with professionals who are committed to making transitions more thoughtful and manageable for the families we serve. 💗

We had such a wonderful morning at Coffee & Connections in Scottsdale!

It’s always special to welcome new faces and to see our senior care community continue to grow. When we take time to slow down, share space, and connect with one another, we become stronger — and better equipped to support the seniors and families who trust us every day.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us this morning and made it such a meaningful morning.

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at Gentle Hearts Living Solutions!

At its heart, Gentle Hearts is a love story.

Our founders, Michelle and Nick Sayles, were caring for Michelle’s grandmother, Veda, during the final chapter of her life. As Registered Nurses, they believed they were prepared—but when it came time to find the right placement, the process was overwhelming, impersonal, and deeply discouraging.

They knew families deserved better: a guide, an advocate, and a team that would treat every senior with the same care they would give their own loved ones.

Since 2018, our mission has remained rooted in Veda’s story. We serve families across Arizona and Idaho, helping them find senior living solutions that are accurate, dignified, and truly right for their loved ones.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re sending love to every senior, family, referral partner, and to the incredible communities who have been part of our journey—and who have allowed us to be part of theirs. 🩷

Today, we’re so excited to celebrate our incredible Senior Placement and Referral Specialist, Jonathan, on his two-year anniversary with Gentle Hearts Living Solutions!

Jonathan is a trusted advocate and resource in our community for seniors and their families. He’s also been instrumental in creating spaces for connection among local care homes and senior care professionals through Coffee & Connections—a welcoming place where we support one another in our shared work of providing dignified care and building meaningful relationships.

We’re so grateful for the heart and compassion Jonathan brings to families, our partners, and our team each day. Happy two-year anniversary, Jonathan. We’re so thankful for all that you do!

Continuing education is an important part of how we care for the families who trust us.

Recently, our Senior Placement and Referral Specialist, Zac, and our Office Manager, Heather, attended an all-day DHS Dementia Training focused on dementia-specific education and best practices.

Ongoing training helps us better support seniors living with cognitive changes and ensures we can guide families with clarity, trusted resources, and advocacy rooted in dignity and compassion.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this that allow our team to keep learning and growing so every family we serve receives the clinical standard of thoughtful, informed guidance. 🩷

We recently came together as a team for our 2026 Kick-Off Meeting, which gave our incredible care team a chance to reset and reflect on what last year asked of us.

We can’t help but feel immense pride in our team and in our continued commitment to our partners, the families we serve, and the seniors we advocate for. At the heart of our mission is the responsibility to lead with integrity, excellence, and genuine care.

In 2026, we’re growing with purpose and continuing to raise the bar in senior care advocacy by pairing trusted placement expertise with added clinical insight. This allows us to support families with guidance that is both compassionate and clinically informed.

We’re excited to welcome Chantae Medina to the Gentle Hearts Living Solutions team! 🩷

With nearly two decades of experience in healthcare, Chantae brings deep clinical knowledge and a genuine heart for compassionate care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has a background spanning geriatric care, oncology, and hospice nursing. She is known for building strong, trusting relationships and for being a thoughtful advocate for the individuals and families she serves.

Chantae will be joining our work in the East Valley of Phoenix, supporting families, care homes, and partners. We’re so grateful to have you on the team, Chantae, and we’re so glad you’re here!

We’re committed to supporting seniors and the people who care for them.

Every Tuesday from 9:30–11:30am at The American Lutheran Church of Sun City (17200 N. Del Webb Blvd), our own Kari McLeod leads a weekly caregiver support group designed specifically for loved ones and caregivers of individuals living with dementia.

Caring for someone with memory loss can be overwhelming emotionally, physically, and mentally. Many caregivers experience isolation, stress, or burnout on their journey. Support groups provide a safe, compassionate space where individuals can share experiences, gain perspective, and connect with others who truly understand.

This group focuses on:
• Emotional support and shared experience
• Self-care strategies for caregivers
• A welcoming, judgement-free environment
• Peer connection and community

There’s strength in connection, and caregivers shouldn’t walk this path alone. If you or someone you know is caring for a loved one with dementia, we invite you to join us – this isn't a journey you need to walk alone. 🩷
