Are fear and anxiety keeping you from taking the chances you truly desire?

Do you feel stuck in a rut, making "safe" choices, as the regret of missed opportunities pile on?
Do you find yourself avoiding seemingly simple decisions that feel overwhelming to make?
Do you experience the smothering feeling from hiding your true voice because standing up for what you want takes too much energy?
The regret when you react irritably to innocuous requests from your kids/partner/parents but don't know what to do? (Other than stuffing it in and pretending you aren't feeling the rage?)
Does it leave you feeling exhausted and angry?

You're not alone, I've been there too. 🤍
And it has helped me birth a structure to help those of you who are experiencing the pain.

I'd like to introduce: Adios Anxiety, Hello Confidence, a program I've created just for you!

This 24-week live, online group journey will transform your life from ANXIOUS and STUCK to a space of HOPE and CONFIDENCE.

No more holding back - It's time to:
🗣️ Voice your opinions lovingly AND unapologetically
🔥 Have those uncomfortable (but important) conversations you've been avoiding
🚀 Step into that bigger role at work that you've been offered
👥 Meet new people and engage in genuine conversation that lights you up!
🤍 Wake up to days that leave you feeling energized, not sapped

The best part is - you get to break the cycle of anxiety and self-criticality that you might have been handed down through the generations.
You get to model a new possibility for your children.
All making choices that build the life you've dreamed of!

Comment or DM "CONFIDENCE" to know more about the program.

With love,
Sanjana.

Why the BODY is KEY to healing the mind:
1. Body posture : there's plenty of great literature out there that shows how the postures we assume affect the way we feel and think. Have you noticed how you carry yourself when you feel anxious vs when you feel motivated or confident?

2. Our patterns and traumas live in the body: It isn't all up in the head. We hold our habitual emotional responses in our musculature in chronic patterns of tightening called Armoring. We develop this protective mechanism early in life in response to big stressors which can (a) cut off feeling and lead us to feeling Always "Off" - eg disconnected, dissociated, numb, unable to move on things. Or (b) Always "ON" - egs. anxious, restless, hypervigilant to another's congratulations tone/facial expression, unable to focus.
When we heal and transform these patterns, it changes us as people. It changes how we show up in relationships. It changes our lives.
However if the body isn't a part of the healing equation, the changes are unlikely to stick.

3. When we move the body, the mind changes : The body-mind is a deeply, intricately interconnected complex. Changes to one affect the other. However it is much harder to access and control the mind when we feel anxious or emotionally charged. Think of trying to meditate yourself into calmness when you're anxious or feeling hurt and triggered. Move the body, then calm the mind. The body is key to our healing.

What does joy feel like?
For me, few things are better than eaarrly mornings in Nature, smelling the clean, crisp air, bare feet touching the dew-kissed grass, the gentle blue of a waking sky, a chill in the air that makes the sweater I'm wearing that much more comfortable and the mind, a whole lot stiller.
The *gasp* and a skipping of a heartbeat at the first glimpse of the sun rising.
The instant warmth on my skin.
Goosebumps from the beauty of it all.
Space to observe, to witness.
Space for gratitude to set the tone of my inner environment before thoughts, interactions and reactions begin to color the day's perspective.
Moments of stillness and moments of instability to rest fully into, to acknowledge and just experience the immense love of those in my life.
The flow into a greater love for Life that overwhelms and melts my heart.
The knowledge that I stand in the soil of my motherland, my heart, the container of my ancestral memories.
And my vice - a cup of filter coffee.

On many days, my morning self-care looks like this.
The moments of joy that fill my cup before I show up to the world.

Share what brings you joy.. maybe you'll have given someone an idea to try, that brings them alive. 🌱🤍

Winters truly challenge early morning wake-ups and asana practice, even for those with a well established practice. One thing that has consistently made it easier is to take the time to set my space up the night before. I feel less mental resistance when I think of that warm, familiar sacred space ready for me to step into, at 5am when I'm debating if I should go back to bed or go down to practice. Also, setting it up the night before becomes a ritual, and signals to my mind that step one of arriving at practice has already been set in motion.
How cold is it where you live? Do you find it harder to get to your morning movement practice lately? What are you doing to beat it?

Stepping out in Nature brings me ALIVE like nothing else does! And I wonder why I don't do it more often at the end of every walk. It's a fine reminder that we certainly didn't evolve to keep ourselves trapped within 4 walls!
This year, one of my commitments to Sweet-P and to my own self-care is daily walks outside. I signed up for 's brilliant initiative and although I'm not quite tracking the hours, it's motivation enough for me to get out and build a ritual around it.
The 5pm winter sunset from atop the hill is a settling sight. Expansive and stilling.🌄
Also the pretty mustard is in bloom! 😻🌾
Those of you spending your day indoors, how do you deal with the fatigue that comes with it? Do share 🤍
