When I was 18 I got a job at the famous institution in Laguna Beach, California called The Stand Natural Foods Restaurant. It opened in ‘71 and is still cranking out fresh cold wheatgrass juice (because they keep theirs refrigerated!!), watermelon juice, smoothies, shakes, 8 in house made soups, epic veggie burgers, pitas, sandwiches, tamales & desserts to this day!
I was quickly educated on the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.☹️) and took the amazing opportunity of being able to eat where I worked to cleanse my body and reintroduced a wonderfully nutrient dense eating lifestyle into my life and shared the information with my immediate family.
I became a raw foodist for 6 months and then became a pescatarian for the next 9 years. Now, I stay balanced and continue to make choices that make me feel the best. While also, enjoying all of the foods I want to because I have the practices and knowledge of how to keep myself charged and functioning healthily.
The realization that I have the power to feel at my best physically, naturally brought me into being clearer about what my mental, emotional and spiritual states were as well. By changing my diet it brought a heightened awareness into the subtleties of my Self.
I had 12 years of not catching the common cold.
I was able to work through mental and emotional processing without the use of anti-depressants because I had the energy to support the processing and the work that I needed to do.
I turned 39 this year and I constantly am told how shocked people are that I am my age. I won’t brag too much but I want you to know the joy of what coming back to living in line with natural law rewards us with!!
