Did you know?

Mercury toxicity is linked to chronic disease, particularly autoimmune disorders (i.e. lupus or SLE), eczema (immune-induced skin inflammation). It can alter gut flora and result in antibiotic resistance. If you have mercury amalgam fillings, consider getting them replaced as simply working in a dental office can increase your risk of developing lupus by over 700%!!

It’s not typical that I would recommend someone to follow for a certain ailment, as so few keep themselves up-to-date and follow science and proper reporting as it comes out. That said, for anyone suffering from Hypothyroidism, Thyroid disease, including autoimmune disorders, or Hyperthyroidism, I do highly recommend ForeFront Health. My entire journey into Functional Medicine started with a sluggish thyroid and several years later I still use a couple of this company’s products and have read a lot of the content on this website (and have followed his programs). Without doing a lot of big changes, I was able to regulate my thyroid function, get my adrenals running properly again, and stay away from prescription medication! Go Tom Brimeyer!

‘Food’ for thought:

Vegetarian diets may be good for those with systemic inflammation disorders. This is partially due to the reduced stimulation of prolactin (a hormone), which is pro-inflammatory. Patients with some autoimmune disorders (RA, SLE, scleroderma, etc.) will benefit from reducing prolactin levels (and balancing out other hormones as well).

Talk to your FM doctor/doctor or naturopath about balancing hormones (you can test these levels) and a registered dietician about possibly going vegetarian (even for a short term) while you get your inflammation under control!

Did you know?

All mental health disorders have vitamin B deficiencies! And not all are the same. If you or someone you love has a mental health disorder (mild to severe), talk to your doctor about adding a good quality vitamin B complex to your daily regime (and better yet, get some testing done) 🤓
