Halloween is right around the corner, but where are my Christmas lovers at?! 🎅🏼🎄

Carly and Cora are selling wreaths and poinsettias again this year, to support their TMDC Dance Competition season — and as always, giving a portion of our proceeds to Hope for Heather. 🩵

If you’re local, or will be in town for Thanksgiving, they’ll arrive that week and we can deliver to you or you can pick up from us.

Wreaths are $28 and come with a bow you can add or remove. Ours was lush and easily lasted all season last year!

Poinsettias are $18 and were big, full, and beautiful - we gifted them to many throughout the season and were so well-received and enjoyed.

Hi. Friendly reminder that cancer is the absolute f*cking worst, so please stay on top of all your screenings — today I had my annual skin check. And if you haven’t had one in the last 12 months (or worse, ever), stop being ridiculous and just go book it. It’s one of the easiest — it’s not like your b***s are being smushed or a camera is going up your a$s — so there’s really zero excuse.

in East Syracuse is super easy to book right on so I just removed that excuse for you too, ok?

Ignorance is not bliss, it’s risky. And peace of mind is priceless.

Babygirl gets her own post today, because my mini-me has come SO FAR. And while she still may be striving for that highest adjudication or that first place — the REAL win has been with her mindset and resilience.

Today, nearing the end of what was a fairly solid crack of dawn solo performance, she lost her choreography for a moment. 😮‍💨 If you’re a dancer, you know — there is no rollercoaster ride that can compete with the stomach drop being in that situation brings. Carly handled it with more poise and grace at 8 years old than I sure as heck did at 15 when it happened to me — she kept going and held it together until she was back in my arms.

Most people didn’t even know she flubbed up, but we did, she knew the judges probably did — and so we had a quick cry. It’s a big deal and a big feeling I wanted to let her feel. But remarkably (and shocking, honestly).. she pulled it together and got herself ready for her next dance with a smile on her face.

It’s so easy in the tough moments to think that she’s over dramatic or can’t “handle” this life — but when I sit back and see what this tiny eight year old is accomplishing not just with her awards and scores (which, PS — still snagged herself a Top Five award) but with her life skills.. I’m proud beyond words. 🤍🥹

48 hours of rest, an ice/heat protocol, epsom salts, ibuprofen, and me fully begging the Universe to be on the side of my stretchy little nugget and p**f ✨🙌🏼 ..she’s BACK!

I asked her to take it easy for another day or two, but clearly, nothing is holding this one down. 🙃😜

THANK YOU to everyone that helped with advice and tips to heal her quickly, especially Brittney who got Nelson on the case with a quick and actionable plan!

Was too busy making memories to take many pics. ✨

🫣 alternate caption: spent the majority of the day responding to the endless demands of tiny humans asking how their new toys work, finding open outlets to charge the 385027 things, freeing dolls and Polly Pockets from their ridiculous packaging, setting the smoke alarms off for the third consecutive year, and navigating over-sugared/over-stimulated emotions before absolutely passing out from mental and physical exhaustion.

Enjoy these realistic, uncurated peeks into our somehow simultaneously relaxing and chaotic Christmas, to offset the prior two “perfect family” posts. 😉

Trust and believe that my semi-sarcastic, self-deprecating take on the real-life side of parenting has NOTHING on the insane amount of love and gratitude I have for this life of mine. 🥲🥹

I’m beyond blessed to be married to the man I’ve wanted to spend the rest of my days with since I met him, abundantly healthy and fulfilling children, and family that loves us unconditionally.
