Something I often hear from people is that they just ✨feel good✨ when they come to Elu! That is largely because of all the love put into it by these folks. Many have been with Elu since the beginning and shaped the atmosphere right alongside me. Continually grateful for all they teach me and for their confidence and support ❤️ I’d like to take a minute to officially introduce everyone! From left to right, top to bottom we have Kelsey, Tessa, Anna, Gretchen, Kenny, Niina (me), Verity, and Jenny. And in the second photo we have our newest instructor Jessica! And the third slide is our sound bath instructor Toni:) Come say hi, we’d love to get to know you better and continue building community with you!

Tacoma wants to see everyone fed and cared for. No one should be going hungry and yet an estimated 47 million people in America face hunger. We’ve partnered with several of our favorite local businesses to start this fundraising campaign called Tacoma Community and if you donate through the team Tacoma Businesses Team Feed, every $1 donated will provide for at least 10 meals. We will be tracking the progress toward our goal, on the leaderboard, and sharing our impact.

We had the absolute honor and pleasure of hosting the art show of and titled “Jungle” this past Saturday night. Walking into the space and seeing their complimentary pieces hung so beautifully on the walls surrounded by a jungle of plants immediately brought me to tears and does even as I write this. Not only is it a dream and vision realized for me personally to open the space to art and community, but I am also deeply moved by both of these incredibly powerful women. Over the past year I’ve had the joy of experiencing their intention, self-expression, tenacity, and generosity of spirit and there it was displayed on the walls of this place we love so much. I’d like to share some of their own words from their artist statement as they describe their work best, “We invite viewers to find the light in every moment while inviting in the shadow of our own minds. We invite viewers to dive inwards from a place of radical self acceptance to love all living beings and the messiness of being alive. We can be brave enough to fully integrate our mistakes, shame, guilt and embarrassment to experience life fully.” 👏

Open to anyone who loves yoga and wants to be a part of building community.
