Doula Deb Birth, Postpartum & Sleep Doula: Compassionate Doula Care, Elevating Your Parenthood Experience My approach is simple.

I believe that every family should receive comprehensive care, starting from pregnancy, continuing through childbirth, and lasting as your family grows. Since 2008, I have been working as a professional doula, providing holistic care that meets your family's needs in every aspect, and guiding you as your family grows. My entry into the perinatal field in 2008 was a pivotal moment in my life. From the moment I discovered this calling, I knew it was my true purpose. In just three months, I completed professional doula training, leaving behind a successful career to pursue a new path that has changed my life forever. Today, as I balance my family responsibilities, my passion for supporting other families has only deepened. I have not only witnessed but also personally experienced the gap that often exists between families and the care they receive during this critical period of transition. My mission is to bridge that gap and provide the unwavering support that every family deserves during this transformative time.

Spring forward is coming — which means the clock will jump ahead one hour.

To make that transition easier on your baby’s nervous system, we shift sleep gradually.

This week, move bedtime and naps another 15 minutes later by the clock. If you started last week, you should now be about 30 minutes later than your original schedule.

Small, steady adjustments are much gentler than jumping a full hour all at once — especially for younger or sensitive sleepers. Slow and steady wins here. 🌿

One of my favorite ways to lower nap stress has nothing to do with schedules.

Instead of fixating on how long a nap was, I invite families to notice how their child comes out of sleep.

Are they able to re-engage?

Do they settle back into the day?

Is their mood flexible?

This lens reduces panic and builds confidence, because you’re reading the system, not chasing perfect numbers.

Steady understanding beats perfect tracking.

When feeding feels constant, it’s often about regulation—not hunger. A baby’s nervous system tells us more than we realize.

Minutes don’t tell the whole story.
Patterns do.

This is why nap troubleshooting works best when it’s individualized — not formula-based.

Is a tongue tie release always the answer? 🤔
This week on Doula Talk, we slow things down and talk readiness, regulation, and why supporting the whole baby matters before jumping to a fix.
If feeding still feels hard—or you’ve felt rushed—this episode is for you. 🎧

Perfect naps aren’t the goal.
A stable, responsive system is.

When parents stop chasing every nap and start watching patterns, sleep feels less stressful — and more sustainable.

We’re seeing so many parents assume naps are broken when what’s really happening is development.

Nap sleep changes frequently in the first year.

That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

When you zoom out and look at patterns instead of individual naps, things often feel much less urgent — and much more manageable.

Daylight Saving Time is one of those things that sneaks up and then messes with sleep hard—especially for younger or more sensitive babies.

Starting now and adjusting bedtime and naps by 15 minutes each week is often much easier on little bodies than a sudden one-hour jump.

You’re allowed to get support before you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or at a breaking point.

That’s not giving up.
That’s care.
