Doula Deb Birth, Postpartum & Sleep Doula: Compassionate Doula Care, Elevating Your Parenthood Experience My approach is simple.

I believe that every family should receive comprehensive care, starting from pregnancy, continuing through childbirth, and lasting as your family grows. Since 2008, I have been working as a professional doula, providing holistic care that meets your family's needs in every aspect, and guiding you as your family grows. My entry into the perinatal field in 2008 was a pivotal moment in my life. From the moment I discovered this calling, I knew it was my true purpose. In just three months, I completed professional doula training, leaving behind a successful career to pursue a new path that has changed my life forever. Today, as I balance my family responsibilities, my passion for supporting other families has only deepened. I have not only witnessed but also personally experienced the gap that often exists between families and the care they receive during this critical period of transition. My mission is to bridge that gap and provide the unwavering support that every family deserves during this transformative time.

Feeding your baby doesn’t need to feel harder because of your gear—these are 3 of my go-to favorites for keeping things simpler 👇

Boone Trove
A more discreet, stay-put alternative to the Haakaa (because yes… babies will kick those off 🙃)

MomCozy Bottle Washer
Small, high-capacity, and does it all—wash, sanitize, and dry with a quick cycle and drains straight into your sink (no gross water container to deal with 🙌)

Pigeon Bottles
My go-to for breastfed babies—soft ni**le with a great angle to support a deeper latch, and way easier to clean than some other options. Start with the SS ni**le for the slowest flow.

Because the right tools won’t fix everything… but they can make feeding feel a whole lot more manageable.

Birth is just the doorway… the fourth trimester is where everything shifts.

No one really prepares you for how beautiful and overwhelming those first months can feel.

What if nothing is wrong… but everything still feels hard?

Those early weeks with a newborn can feel confusing, exhausting, and full of second-guessing.

In this episode of Doula Talk: Postpartum, Babies, and the Battle for Sleep, we’re shifting out of panic and into understanding—so you can feel more steady in what’s actually normal.

Because sometimes nothing needs fixing… just context.

You stop trying to fix everything at once.

The biggest misconception about postpartum support is that it’s only for families who are overwhelmed.

In reality, it’s most powerful when added early, before exhaustion compounds.

Stabilization is easier than recovery.

If you’re local and preparing for postpartum, this is the season to line that up.

When babies start getting closer to rolling, swaddling needs to change.

Swaddles are wonderful for the early newborn phase, but once rolling is on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about a safe transition.

These are three transition options I often recommend:
• Kyte Baby swaddle (converts with removable wings)
• Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit
• Dreamland Baby weighted transition swaddle

Most babies transition around 2–4 months, though highly stimulated or neurodiverse babies sometimes benefit from swaddling support a bit longer while they learn regulation.

⚠️ Safety note:
Once a baby can consistently roll back → front and front → back, they must be 100% out of the swaddle.

If rolling may happen soon, it’s usually easier to start transitioning before it becomes urgent.

You can find links to all of my recommended swaddles in my Favorite Things list.

🌿 gentle regulation support
💛 patterns over panic

03/24/2026

When newborn sleep or feeding suddenly changes, many parents assume they need to do more.

More tracking.
More schedules.
More adjustments.

But in the early weeks, less is often more.

Holding steady, watching patterns over several days, and supporting regulation often helps more than trying to fix every rough night.

In this week’s episode of Doula Talk: Postpartum, Babies, and the Battle for Sleep, I talk about why these disruptions are often information, not problems—and how support helps families stay oriented instead of overwhelmed.

🌿 patterns over panic
💛 steadiness over overcorrecting
✨ support through change

One reason families hesitate to book support is uncertainty.

What will we talk about?
Will I be judged?
Will I be told I’m doing it wrong?

Structured support is collaborative.

We look at patterns, not perfection.

We reduce variables instead of adding pressure.

And most families say the biggest shift isn’t sleep...it’s confidence.

If you’ve been sitting on the idea of booking, this is what it actually looks like.
