At MoonRise we offer equine psychotherapy along with other therapeutic and educational equine activities. All ages can enjoy and benefit from playing with horses and we can adapt the experience to meet your needs and goals. Our overall hope is to increase awareness and connection with not only the horse but also one's self, others and our earth! We work with individuals, groups, schools, families and community mental health organizations to provide an individualized educational, therapeutic and recreational experience. MRT is proud to be part of the ginger bread house project! Such fun for our community members to join together and work on as a group. Each day new creative additions appear! ⭐️⭐️⭐️The Family Place’s annual Gingerbread Festival, now in its 23rd year, is a fun, family-friendly event that celebrates the start of the winter season in the Upper Valley.

Over 1,200 community members join The Family Place each year to support our programs that promote healthy children and families in our community. Schools, businesses, and any aspiring bakers in the community can participate by building a gingerbread house to be displayed and auctioned off at the event, with all proceeds supporting The Family Place’s holistic, family-centered programs.

Moonrise welcomed veterans this morning. Although this group is not new to MoonRise, today felt extra special as it is their annual weekend retreat with many planned activities. We are honored to be part of their retreat. We love seeing the connection between people, the partnership with horses as well as the remembrance. A few of the words that were shared at the end - camaraderie, tender, time, gratitude, calm, community, context, peaceful, serenity, presence, and thankful.

The MoonRise community came together for a fantastic Halloween parade. An opportunity for program participants, volunteers and more to practice leading skills, working as a team, communication, and partnering with the horses. This has become an annual tradition that we all look forward to and enjoy! 🎃🐴⭐️ Huge shout out to the Taftsville community for their patience and support!🎃🐴⭐️

MoonRiseFarm is home to MoonRise Therapeutics, inc. (MRT). MoonRise Farm and MRT provide a nurturing environment coupled with clinical expertise and equine experiences where individuals and families can receive personalized support and counseling to deepen self-understanding, work through obstacles, and grow resilience. The main goal of MRT at the Farm is to address mental health issues related to trauma, anxiety and depression. Equine therapy offers children, adults and families the chance to enjoy and benefit from playing with horses while working on the following skills; emotional awareness, impulse control, social-emotional, confidence, trust and empathy, and problem solving. In a non-judgemental and safe place, MRT’s goal is to increase awareness and connection with not only the horse but also one's self, others and our earth! We work with individuals, groups, schools, families and community mental health organizations to provide an individualized educational, therapeutic and recreational experience.
