🌟 Cherokee County 4-H Shooting Sports Team Fundraiser! 🌟

These awesome kiddos (see pic in comments 👇) are out at Atwoods in Tahlequah today raising money for shells and travel expenses to Nationals — yes, you heard that right… they’re heading to Nationals! 🇺🇸💚

It’s a beautiful day, so stop by, say hi, and show them some 4-H love and support! 🍀

By far one of the coolest things I've been a part of since starting as an extension agent! Our very own Maverick Meredith was chosen for the pork derby this year. The pork derby is for 6th to 12th grade kids who have never shown swine before. They submit an application to be part of the pork derby. If chosen they spend a day in Stillwater learning about genetics, biosecurity, and so much more. Then the coolest part... They are part of a draft to select a pig to take home and raise as their project for the pork derby show at OYE. If you are unsure about showing and want to give swine a try... I highly recommend going this route and now I know how to do it!
