🍂✨ Welcome to October ✨🍂

A new month is a fresh invitation to realign with your wellness. This Wellness Wednesday, take a pause and ask yourself:

🌿 What do I want to carry with me into October?

🌸✨ Self-Care Saturday ✨🌸

Self-care isn’t just about spa days or bubble baths—it’s about creating intentional moments that support your mind, body, and spirit.

This Self-Care Saturday, I invite you to pause and check in with your nervous system:

🪷 Am I feeling calm and grounded?
⚡ Am I stressed or on edge?
🌑 Am I shut down or disconnected?

By noticing where you are, you can choose supportive practices—like breathwork, meditation, gentle yoga, or body scans—to bring yourself back into balance.

For women navigating chronic pain/illness, trauma, or life transitions, this type of self-care is more than a practice—it’s a pathway to healing.

💻 I’m currently accepting virtual therapy clients with various insurances in FL, GA, NH & TX. My approach blends traditional talk therapy with body-based practices to help you reconnect, restore, and heal.

✨ This Self-Care Saturday, give yourself permission to listen inward and honor what you need.

🧠✨ Discover Nervous System Mapping ✨🧠

Your nervous system is like your body’s internal compass—constantly signaling whether you feel safe, stressed, or shut down. Nervous system mapping is the practice of tuning into these signals so you can better understand your patterns and choose tools that bring you back into balance.

🌿 Why it matters:

🔎 Increases awareness of your body’s stress + safety cues
💡 Helps you recognize patterns that keep you stuck
🪷 Provides pathways to regulation through breathwork, movement, mindfulness, and grounding

For women navigating chronic pain/illness, trauma, or life transitions, mapping is a powerful first step toward healing—because awareness opens the door to change.

💻 I’m currently accepting virtual therapy clients in FL, GA, NH, & TX. My approach blends talk therapy with body-based practices—like meditation, yoga, body scans, breathwork, nervous system mapping, and other somatic practices —to support whole-person healing.

✨ Your body is always speaking. Nervous system mapping helps you listen.

I am excited to share that my chapter, "Offender Rehabilitation as a Contemporary Issue," from my first published SpringerBrief Book, has been cited in a newly released study titled "The Influence of Religious-based Programmes on Recidivism of Women Offenders in Kenyan Prisons." This important research, authored by Patrick Lumumba Aghan, Otieno Marygorety Akinyi, and Anne Achieng Assey, is featured in the Impact: Journal of Transformation (Volume 8, Issue 1, pages 22-47, 2025).

The citation of my chapter in this new study underscores the relevance of my scholarly work in shaping discussions on offender rehabilitation on a global scale and influencing policies and practices tailored to the needs of marginalized populations, such as women offenders in Kenyan prisons. I believe that offender rehabilitation is not just a national concern but a global imperative, and I continue to be committed to contributing to a more informed dialogue on best practices that can transcend borders, promoting restorative justice, reducing recidivism, and ultimately supporting the reintegration of offenders into society.

I am excited to share the latest citation alert for Chapter 6 - “Offender Rehabilitation as a Contemporary Issue” in my first Springer Brief Book, "Understanding Offending Populations and the Power of Correctional Psychotherapy."

This chapter has been cited in the thought-provoking article "Bridging Mental Health and National Security: The Transformative Impact of Psychiatric Nursing on Public Safety," published in the International Journal of Pharma Growth Research Review.

I am truly grateful for the ongoing recognition of my scholarly work and its relevance in international research discussions. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see my contributions being woven into broader conversations the bridge mental health, public safety, national security, and rehabilitation!

🌟 I am beyond thrilled to share some incredible news! 🌟

The Saturday before my 43rd Birthday (Feb. 22, 2025), I received an email from a faculty member of the Criminal Justice Department at Seton Hill University, informing me that my third published Springer book, "Exploring Trauma among Offending Populations: In Pursuit of Healing and Justice," was being considered for adoption in their newly developed Trauma Informed Care Certificate program curriculum.

After her review and a brief interaction with my publisher, I am honored to announce that my book has OFFICIALLY been ADOPTED by the Seton Hill University Criminal Justice Department!

Words cannot express how humbled I am by this recognition. It’s a true privilege to contribute to the education of those who will shape the future of trauma-informed practices in the field.

Thank you to all who have been part of this journey! A special shout-out to my Sis .pulchritude (Dr. Letitia Browne-James) who has consistently encouraged me to share my knowledge with the world!!!! 📚💖

🌍✨ I am excited to announce that my scholarly work has once again made its way into the Indonesian language! This time, my thoughts have been referenced in the Jurnal de Jour, a significant periodical Scientific Journal published by the University of Balikpapan Faculty of Law. This journal serves as a platform for legal scientists, practitioners, and observers to share ideas and critical thinking aimed at the advancement of law in Indonesia. 📚🇮🇩

My chapter, "Policy Reform: Rethinking Criminal Justice," from my 2nd Springer publication, "Revolutionizing Justice in the Pipeline Era: Breaking the Chains," has been cited. I'm particularly honored that my words were translated to convey:

"Justice enforced by the judicial system not only reflects the integrity of the law, but also has a direct impact on people's lives" (Sapp, 2024).

It brings me great joy to see my ideas transcend professions, countries, and languages!

I am so appreciative of everyone who continues to support the journey of knowledge and justice!

🌟 Last evening, I had the privilege of being a guest speaker at Commonwealth University - Lock Haven Campus CMHC Program's Culture Collective! I presented "Restoring Balance: The Crucial Link Between Mental Health and Justice."

During the session, we delved deep into the critical relationship between mental health and the justice system. I shared insights from my work in Offender Rehabilitation and Correctional Mental Health, highlighting the pressing need for comprehensive mental health support as a key component of rehabilitation. It was inspiring to engage with such an enthusiastic audience, exchanging ideas on how we can create more effective system for those affected by the justice process.

I’m passionate about advocating for wellness in all aspects of society and love connecting with others who share that commitment. I’m currently open to booking future speaking engagements and would be thrilled to collaborate on events, workshops, or seminars that address these vital issues. If you’re interested in having me speak at your institution or organization, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Thank you to everyone at Commonwealth University for hosting such a meaningful event and to all attendees for their insightful contributions! Together, we can make a difference.
