Are you in need of a doctor who understands dance injuries? There is a Dance Medicine Practitioner in Tallahassee! Dancers generally have a good sense of how their bodies function and when they start to feel discomfort they alter their technique to avoid aggravating the injury. This creates imbalances and stress on inappropriate muscles, ligaments, and joints. Educating the dancer on proper ways to improve their technique is vital to preventing injuries down the road. Dr Darcee Schmidt has specific training in dance injuries and will evaluate you based on dance specific movements and functional tests. She will then design a custom tailored dance specific rehabilitation program and self care strategies to help promote injury prevention, safe dance training, and improve alignment. We are also a part of the Bridge Dance Project providing the latest knowledge of dance medicine and science to the competition/commercial dance community! Dr. Darcee Schmidt, DC, MS

Here's the harsh truth πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

You're going to have to be okay with taking time out of class for things like:
🧠 Anatomical Lessons
🧠 Movement Explorations
🧠 Journaling
🧠 Assignments
🧠 & more!

πŸ₯³ But WAIT! Interested in knowing exactly how I do this for ages 7-10 & 11-15? You came to the right place. I have 3 printables for each of these age groups that are meant to be scaffolded & layered. By clicking the link in my bio, you can instantly simplify your lesson planning!

🧬 Let me navigate through all of the information & SIMPLIFY it for you. Which is what I'm doing both as The Dance Scientist & The Dance Science Center.
