Please join our Parent Training Coordinator, Josefina Gonzalez, on Thursday, March 5th, at 5 PM (EST), as we discuss the importance of developing self-determination in students.
Students who develop self-determination skills have a stronger chance of success by focusing on essential abilities needed during adolescence. Key components of self-determination include self-awareness, personal management, effective communication, speaking up for oneself, navigating systems, decision-making, goal setting, and problem-solving. These experiences allow young individuals to explore their strengths in expressing their needs and making informed choices. Adult outcomes for the students were assessed using a scale completed by parents.
