I said this the first this pathetic orange narcissist took office. Other presidents wage wars over sees, he brings the war home. Why do you ask?

Because the more chaos in this country allows them to create news laws to have more control over us. More internal fighting keeps us distracted from the real enemy.

Billionaires, corporations and money hungry politicians who want to hoard more resources and power, while we destroy ourselves…

If seeing all these racist acts makes you sick, well you most of had your blinders on, because thats what this nation was built on.

Racism stems from ignorance and fear, there is a reason they want to ban books and white out history. Without doing that they can’t keep their insecure agenda alive…

So the solution?

Show up with more love and compassion for those around you. And no I don’t mean be a push over or let yourself be bullied. Be show up stronger with love for those that need it the most.

Through our unity this beast will fall…

1. Building muscle helps increase metabolism.

2. Eating adequate amounts of protein can help with increasing TEF (thermic effect of food). Resulting in more calorie expenditure.

3. Getting enough sleep keeps your hormones in check. Especially ghrelin (hunger hormone) and leptin (satiety hormone). When those two are running like they should, you tend to not overeat as much.

4. Mental health is key for overall good health as depression or anxiety can cause food binges or loss of appetite.

5. Reducing stress is key as well. Too much or constantly feeling stress can cause inflammation as well as disrupting your sleep, mental health, and hormone health.

I know it may seem like a lot to tackle, but focus on one of these at a time, and you will see changes in your weight.

How time flies. I just realized that a few days ago marked 25 years since I’ve had any alcohol…

Four years prior to quitting I was drinking everyday. Zero direction in life with the only goal was to get drunk or high daily.

I’ll write a longer post another day with more details on how I’ve stayed sober this long. ( I did continue to smoke herb until I was 24, been 100% sober since)

Two main catalysts that allowed me to quit alcohol cold turkey and never look back…

A big reason, was when I would get drunk I would see my dad in my eyes. He left my life at 7/8 years old. It disgusted me to have that feeling. I didn’t want to recreate his steps or decisions in life…

For instance the only time I’d cheated on my partner was when I was 19 and drunk. Never again…

Another crucial piece has to do with a spiritual awakening I had at 20. That’s way too long to explain here, but let’s just say I woke up one day and felt as if a veiled was removed from eyes…

I felt like my whole life was a lie, and everything I was doing was pointless. And I was done with it.

So two weeks after 2000 New year I woke up and said I’m done with all this ( I also stopped hard drugs and those beloved psychedelics too)…

All my friends that I went crazy, lol…

Which I had to remove myself from that circle to begin to flourish…

Well this post is already getting too long… Just know that if you’ve ever wanted to get sober you can, yes I know it’s hard but you can.

If this little hood kid did it, so can you.

First step become disgusted with whatever thing is you want to quit. Like really disgusted, and replay that over and over for 1-2 minutes.

Then realize you deserve better. You’re worth more. Everyday choose to do one thing that nourishes you…
