What happens in the box, stays in the box…
This is what I tell my classes at and when we get into the deep and sometimes scary questions about life. It’s so hard to be vulnerable in front of people you might not know very well, or even at all. But it’s also SO damn brave to open yourself up to emotional as well as physical resiliency.
Contrast therapy isn’t just about sitting in a hot room and then taking a dip in a cold tub. It’s so much more than that. For 60 minutes, I will lead you through breath-work, meditation, visualization, group sharing (you are always allowed to pass), as well as pulling a card from my Affirmation Cards deck.
Yes, we do get hot and then cold (3x actually), but I will guide you every step of the way. The only thing you need to know in advance is to show up hydrated, it makes the experience so much more tolerable and even, dare I say, enjoyable?!
There are so many physical and mental benefits gained by doing this practice on a regular basis. But my favorite will always be reduced inflammation. I was in severe chronic pain for over 2 years after a few injuries and now my low back pain is completely GONE, and my hip pain is greatly reduced. My other fav is NO PHONES 🙌 We actually talk to each other as fellow humans and it’s quite refreshing.
