This week we’ve sharing something that makes us who we are.

In my last post, I shared one of my dreams, since I’ve had vivid dreams for as long as I can remember, they are part of what makes me who I am.

Today I’m sharing my mother.
So much of who we are is shaped by the people who came before us. Our paths may look different, but often the intention at the heart of them is the same.

In many ways, we carry their imprint with us. Honoring where we come from is also a way of honoring our Intentions.

I was walking through a meadow, soft grass beneath my feet and towering mountains rising before me. As I moved toward the mountain, a small wooden cabin appeared to the left. But what truly caught my attention was a man descending from above it carrying something down.

He looked to be in his eighties, yet he was tall and radiantly strong. Long white hair and a full beard framed his face. He wore a white robe and sandals, and there was something ancient and powerful about him.
Then I noticed what he was carrying.

Resting on his right shoulder was a massive pink quartz crystal, the size of a human body. He held it with one hand as if it weighed nothing.

I stood there astonished.
How could a man his age carry something so heavy so effortlessly?

As he approached, he smiled gently and motioned for me to follow him. So I did.

Inside the cabin, a large wooden table stood in the center. Carefully, he lifted the giant from his shoulder and placed it on the table.

Then he reached into his robe and pulled out a feather.

With the tip of the feather, he touched the stone and began to carve. With the soft plume, he brushed away the dust.

Slowly the stone began to change.

First the outline of a head appeared. Then strands of hair, one by one. He carved patiently, lovingly shaping each part, the line of a jaw, the delicate veins beneath. Tenderly he carved the breasts, it felt sacred to watch.

I stood in silence as the figure slowly emerged.
It was a . He paused and looked directly at me.

“You were made like this,” he said softly.
“You were made with love.”

I felt that love.

“Are we all made like this?” I asked. “Are we all made of quartz?”

He smiled and asked me to follow him.

We climbed to the top of the mountain and sat facing the endless horizon. Around us, stones sparkled in the light.

He picked up a diamond.
“Some are made of diamonds.”

Then an onyx.
“Some are made of onyx.”

“Some are emeralds, sandstones, rubies, tanzanite… all made with love.”

Then he placed a small piece of quartz in my hand.

“But you…”

He smiled gently.

“You were made of quartz.”
