The Jacob Davis Funeral Home extends our deepest condolences to the Zuby family.
Michael will be missed by all who knew him.
Michael Carl Zuby, 78, of Taylor, died Friday at Allied Skilled Nursing. His wife is the former Kathleen Hayes. The couple had been married for 54 years . He was born in Taylor and was the son of the late Michael and Mary Palinoski Zuby.
Michael was a graduate of Riverside Jr Sr High School and had worked as the head machinist of the forming department for Owens Illinois/Techinglass Co. and during his high school years he worked at the National Pretzel factory. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Taylor and the Taylor Hose Co. He was a fan of the Eagles and the Phillies, an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking and gardening and loved to cook for the family using family recipes for kielbasa sauerkraut. He also enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean and always helping others. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sebastinelli and Dr. Lyons for the wonderful care given to Michael.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy, three sons: John of Hawley, Robert and wife Leann of Taylor and Michael of Taylor, five grandchildren: Anna, Leah, Blake, Alana and Lincoln, four sisters: Bernice Zahorsky, of Scranton, Mary Jane Williams of Falls, Diane Donowski of Asheboro, NC and Joan Sekol of Duryea, one brother, Karl of Taylor, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be on Wednesday at 10AM from the Jacob Davis Funeral Home, 422 S. Main St., Taylor with services by Rev. Donald Roberts, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Taylor. A visitation will be held on
Tuesday from 5 to 7PM.
Interment will take place at Old Forge Cemetery on Wednesday immediately following the 10am service from the Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
