Just returned from beautiful San Diego after attending the ReSound Engage event!

I had the opportunity to network with amazing ENTs, Audiologists, and Hearing Instrument Specialists (HIS), along with fellow business owners, the wonderful ReSound team, and the brilliant minds behind the products we trust every day.

Hosted at Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorville — open to the public for food, fellowship, and a special holiday celebration (with Santa in December!).

🧤 Coat, Hat & Glove Drive – Community Event
Donations accepted through Nov. 15; items distributed during December’s “Dinner Seasoned with Love” meal to help local families stay warm this winter.

🌿 Emerald Gardens – Volunteers Needed!

If you’ve ever walked into a business and felt like just another number, I get it.
That’s exactly why I started Specialized Hearing Solutions — to make sure no one I serve ever feels that way about their hearing care.

I was honored to host this month’s Women Supporting Women (WSW) event right here in my office, surrounded by so many amazing, strong, and kind women who are building businesses, leading in our community, and lifting one another up.

As the only locally owned hearing clinic in Taylorville, my patients mean the world to me. Helping people hear their best — and making sure they feel seen, cared for, and educated — will always come before anything else. It’s not about the sale; it’s about the smile when someone hears clearly again. That moment never gets old.

Beyond my office, I’m proud to give back wherever I can — sponsoring local events like the Senior Appreciation Dinner at the Christian County Fair, volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA and other local organizations, and continuing my Gift of Hearing Program, where I donate top-of-the-line hearing aids/hearing care each year to a deserving individual in need.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this year’s Women Supporting Women Campaign and to share my story alongside so many inspiring local business owners.
Together, we’re showing what it means to truly support local, empower women, and strengthen our community.

Our Women Supporting Women (WSW) Campaign announcement is finally here! We apologize for getting our events started a little late this year, but we are thrilled to feature some incredible women-owned businesses once again! Instead of traditional meetings during the summer months, we like to spotlight the women-owned businesses in our little town. For just one hour, these lovely ladies open their business doors for an exclusive networking event where we listen to their entrepreneurial journey & after, the owner(s) answer various questions! These events are not only educational, but help individuals in our community socialize and connect with local women leaders and entrepreneurs.
These events are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC who are looking to support local women-owned businesses or individuals interested in joining our organization, Women Inspiring Success & Empowerment (WISE)! Our organization was formally known as Business & Professional Women (BPW) and the Illinois Federation of Business Women's Clubs, Inc (IFBW). We are an almost 100-year-old nonprofit that has been through may successful transitions to assist with helping women succeed!
We hope you will join us in supporting these incredible businesses in the 2025 Women Supporting Women Campaign; be sure to make room in your car & bring a wallet!

My offices will be closed today as I’m serving in my role as Board President of The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce and as a committee member preparing for Chillifest.

This weekend marks the 40th Annual Taylorville Chillifest – October 4th & 5th!! 🌶️🎉

Join us downtown for chili, live entertainment, local shops, vendors, pageants, and so much more.
