If your nervous system is pushing you towards withdrawal and numbness because you feel and care so much that you can’t stop the hyper-vigilant scrolling and consuming of news, consider for a moment that the perpetrators want you withdrawn, disconnected and inert. Instead, create some structure and boundaries for yourself and follow your news consumption with action.

I feel a lot and action always helps me so I humbly offer this list of suggested actions you can take as you digest what’s happening right now. This list is not geographically specific (like Minnesota) but includes actions for all capacities for any city you’re in or that needs your support.

Know your thresholds and capacity. Keep showing up for the demands of your daily life. Keep investing in your humanity - art, connection, rest. But take some action rooted in the news your eyes and ears are taking in. Together we rise.

It makes no sense to aim for a year-end crescendo followed by resolutions and activations in the dead of winter! What if we followed Mother Nature’s perfect lead and dialed it back a bit instead? Where can you simplify? Reduce? Create new, more aligned traditions? Tell me your favorite ideas!

I get tired just thinking about it and these three hours of daylight don’t help 😜

Meal prep for health and body recomposition goals OR just for simplicity and cognitive load reduction at chaotic year’s end! I’m tellin’ you, this WORKS. Comment PREP and I’ll DM you my simple meal prep chicken recipe. You roast veggies like carrots, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower or broccoli at the same time on baking sheets and bam, lunch for a week DONE. 😋

Gaaaah I’ve done this an embarrassing number of times. Conditioned behaviors that we’ve integrated to the level of identity are no joke. But it’s never too late to wake up, stop making excuses for why you’re not thriving, and make self-respect, not other peoples’ needs, your top priority. 🎯
