- Zen Inspiration

What about yoga sparks your curiosity? The journey of the mind can be likened to an over-excited monkey. The practice of yoga takes us back again and again to the core of our being, allowing the monkey mind to quiet and emotions to balance; to stop swinging frantically from thought to thought, emotion to emotion. Beginning at the beginning is not the way most of us in the wild wild west started our yoga journey; the asana poses is typically the way many (or most) start. However, if one allows themselves to start at the beginning of the sutras of Patanjali and progress step by step, limb by limb, they may just encounter a whole new and amazing approach to life and one's relationship self and to all beings.

Are you curious about the guided meditation, Yoga Nidra?

As you may know, it's translated as yogic sleep which is when the body transitions to a relaxed sleep state yet the mind remains aware. The benefits of yoga nidra are immense and positively impacts physical, emotional and mental well-being. For more details on this, DM me and I'll send you more information on this.

I hope you enjoy my free meditation.

Moving into the new year, we're reminded of things, attitudes, or other... to consider releasing, letting go, or loosening our grip on. Letting go or releasing what no longer serves your highest purpose is uniquely individual. For some of us, we may not feel ready or want to "let go" -- or perhaps we're unsure how that will be for us, so we may set this concept to the side (which is a sort of letting go also).

But something we all have in common that we will all take with us into the new year; it's free but not always free-flowing, it can calm our nervous system, uplift our spirit, and it's definitely necessary. The breath.

Getting in tune with your breath and spending time with breathing techniques has the potential to benefit every part of you: mind, body and spirit. Just to name a few amazing benefits of using the breath for your own wellness:
➡Reduces stress levels, tension and anxiety
➡Balances the blood pressure and improves circulation
➡Increases energy and vitality
➡Reduces and manages pain
➡Improves sleep

I encourage you on your journey in the new year to include conscious moments with your breath as well as learning techniques to support your health and well being. If you have questions or wish to find a place to start with learning some breath techniques that will be helpful for you, feel free to ask below or DM me.

✨Love, Peace & Cheers to you in 2023!
