ATTENTION LEVEL 2 MAIN CAMPUS

If you are wanting some extra practice before your foley insertion PBA, now is the time to sign up for our practice lab at 5-6pm or 6-7pm TODAY in building 6 room 104.

Please come dressed in your GCU required lab attire and bring YOUR OWN Foley Kits and PBA Checklists. You will be partnered up at each bed so if you would like to bring a partner, have them sign up SEPARATELY in the same time slot. Only students with valid sign ups will be able to participate!

Mark your calendars for March 16th to SIGN UP for GCU EMS and the GCU Student Nurses Association’s hands-on Emergency Department simulation experience!

Student nurses will work alongside ER nurses and physicians to practice triage, patient assessments, and emergency treatment scenarios.

📅 Event Date: March 21
📍 Room 6-139 (Practice Lab)

Level 3 & 4 nursing students can sign up for clinical roles, while Level 1 & 2 students can participate as patient actors. This is an incredible opportunity to experience emergency medicine in action!! 🩺⚡

SNA is hosting a Vital Signs PBA Practice for your very first PBA! We are here to help transition you into what the PBA expectations will be moving forward, as well as help out with any skills you need.
~
Please come wearing your uniform and bring your blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, and PBA checklists. Dual ended stethoscopes are provided for PBA practice, but you may work with your own stethoscopes if you wish to practice the skill more.

GCU SNA meets once a month to discuss educational material, meet new people, host fun events, and lift one another up through mentorship.

The Mentor/Mentee Program here at SNA pairs Level 1 and 2 nursing students with Mentors in the higher levels. This program gives opportunities to form new partnerships that help both the Mentor and the Mentee succeed and thrive here within the nursing program.
~
Mentors are more than welcome to have more than one Mentee if they are comfortable doing so, but this is up to the Mentor and is not a requirement.
~
5 SNA points will be awarded to each student who signs up with the link located in our bio. Mentors will also receive an additional 5 points for each Mentee they are assigned. 5 points are also earned when the Mentee and the Mentor meet for the first time and take a photo together. To claim those 5 points, please send the photo to our Instagram page and include the Mentor and Mentee’s full names.

If you’ve been accepted into the nursing program, you’re already a member! Pre-nursing students, you’re welcome at general meetings too. No sign-up needed… just show up and sign in. And don’t forget: to earn your graduation regalia, make sure you complete the NSNA sign-up form in our bio!

Meetings, practice labs, and events = 5 points each 🎉
Joining the Mentor/Mentee program? Earn points for signing up and meeting together (mentors — don’t forget to DM us a pic!).
