The people of Leavenworth said NO.
Our city still said YES.
Decisions made over our heads will impact every one of us. Pay attention. Ask questions. Hold leaders accountable. This affects our community as a whole.
It shouldn’t have to impact your family for you to care. You’re not angry enough. Not informed enough. Not loud enough. What happens next depends on how we respond, together. There is power in numbers.
The damage this will bring to our community, the chaos that will unfold & cause long-term harm to our city, the irreversible impact on our families. This is more than just another “facility” opening. This is about human rights, caring about our people & protecting ourselves.
It will not end with the immigrants - they will come for us next. Open your eyes. This isn’t just something you see on TV or social media anymore. This is real - life. Leavenworth is going to be the next Minneapolis, Chicago & all the other places 🧊 has been. It’s time you stop ignoring & living your everyday lives as if this is normal - it’s NOT & If you continue to live like nothing is happening - that is consent. Do something. Say something. We are not powerless, we just need more people. If you don’t know what’s going on, I strongly urge you to do your research & become informed.
