Thank you to everyone who made our Kinship Caregiver celebration a huge success! We loved celebrating Knoxville's kinship caregivers and their families. Special thank you to Dogwood Arts for donating craft kits for the kids, the University of Tennessee Department of Psychology & UT Psychological Clinic for sponsoring the event, Tracy Van de Vate & Knoxville-Knox County CAC Office on Aging, Childhelp Tennessee, and Shora Foundation for providing information and valuable resources. Our virtual support group resumes Tuesday, February 13th @ 12pm. Call 865.974.2161 for more information.

The Knoxville-Knox County CAC Office on Aging is pleased to partner with others in the community on the creation of the Aging Rainbow Coalition (ARC). The purpose of ARC is to facilitate information and services for LGBTQ+ older adults.

ARC will be hosting a Health and Happiness Series Event. The first event, Tea on a Tuesday, will be on Tuesday, January 30th from 1:00 - 3:00pm at South Press Coffee Shop. All LGBTQ+ people age 50 and older in East Tennessee are invited to this free event. Feel free to share. RSVP requested by using the QR code, or emailing sbowland@utk.edu.
