Attention VCSC high school students, Union Health is now recruiting volunteers for the summer!

Last Thursday students from Indiana State University, Indiana University, and St. Mary of-the-Woods College participated in a program called Breaking the Cycle of Addiction. The interdisciplinary program, offered in partnership with Indiana University Center for IPE, depicts “real-life” scenarios used to reveal the story of individuals living with or touched by substance use disorder. Sixty-five students from Physician Assistant, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Medicine, Health Science, and Psychology programs were introduced to profiles and shared discussion with local experts as part of the session, to enhance future interactions with patients and clients. Thanks to panel members Dr. Bob Ehresman and Kandace Brown for their contributions to the program and the education of our local health training students!
