When I first started at Reunion, Miss Loomis—better known as Mickey—stopped me one day and asked who I was. I introduced myself, and right away she lit up and began sharing how much she loves Reunion. I asked if she’d be comfortable letting us capture that moment on video, and she said, “Absolutely!” She wanted everyone to know how special Reunion is.

In the video, Mickey shares a little of her story—how she came to Texarkana, the joy she finds in her family, and the things she enjoys most here at Reunion. She also speaks from the heart about how much she appreciates the nursing staff and the care they provide. ❤️😊

The aroma of freshly popped popcorn filled the air as the residents prepared for chef’s corner in making popcorn balls. This event brought up memories of the upcoming holidays with family gathering . They shared memories of the county fair, Halloween, and carnivals.. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the residents prepare for the Stonegate Holiday Art Contest! ⛄🎄They were lost in reveries while listening to soft Christmas music and afterward they socialized while sampling the taste of the holidays with a sweet treat. 😊😋

We have had some exciting events this month that focused on the dimensions of wellness; We have one resident that continues to pursue his hobby of gardening weekly. He enjoys watering the flowers and herbal garden. In artwork class the residents enjoyed a moment of relaxation coloring as soft music was played. Hobbies are treasured moment that we engage in and often fades with time but not here. Mr. Young played drums in a band for many years and continues to play when the monthly band performs. The table is his drums, and he doesn’t miss a beat. He steals the show with his performance!! 🎶💙🌱

From 10 feet to 150 feet, Sheila’s comeback is inspiring! After a hip and elbow fracture, she worked hard in therapy and is now walking strong. Way to go, Sheila and team! 🎉🎉🎉

Our team had a great time at the Texarkana College Job Fair! We loved meeting students, sharing what we do, and talking about career opportunities in senior care. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table—we're excited about the future of healthcare and the next generation of talent!
