A client of ours went to a gold buying event last week in Houston. The client brought several pieces of 14k gold jewelry, total weight in pennyweights was 22.5 and the offer was $1500 based on $4100 gold price.

OUR weights on that same gold was 23.6 dwt. The offer based on today’s gold price at $4012 should have been closer to $1804. A $300 difference!
