The story of my Mother, Rachel Moskovitz, Stealing German Bread, and her family, who lived next door to Eli Viesel’s home until deportation to Auschwitz, is now at the Eli Wisel Museum in Sighet Romania, former Hungeria.

After transferring all the Jews from Sighet, Transylvania/Hungary, 1944 the N**i burned the Great Synagogue. My mother, Rachel Moskovitz and her family were send to Auschwitz. My mother and her sister, Yocheved, survived Auschwitz. Yocheved passed away a few days after liberation.
