The Alabama Wellness Innovative Readiness Training took place from May 27 to June 8 in Monroeville and Thomasville, Ala. Here's a video overview about the mission and what we accomplished during the training.

Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) is a Department of Defense volunteer training opportunity that provides a joint training platform for service members from the Active, Guard and Reserve components to conduct mission-essential training, while providing no-cost services to the communities hosting the missions.

The Alabama Wellness Innovative Readiness Training event successfully delivered opportunities for service members to train in a joint environment while enhancing military readiness. Through it all, we were able to build great partnerships and provide key services with lasting benefits for the surrounding areas of Thomasville and Monroeville, Ala.

Our mission is more than halfway over, but we're still providing quality, no-cost health care to the people of Alabama until June 4th. Doors open at 8am and close at 4pm.

The first day of the Alabama Wellness Innovative Training mission at Thomasville High and Monroe County High School was a success! The mission continues until June 4th.

Doors open at 8 a.m. at both locations. All area residents ages 2+ are welcome for no-cost medical, dental and optical services on a first-come, first served basis.

Monroeville and Thomasville ready for opening ceremonies at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Memorial Day, to officially open Alabama Wellness mission. Doors open at 8 a.m. at both locations. All area residents ages 2+ welcome for no-cost medical, dental and optical services on a first-come, first served basis. Locations are Monroe County High School & Thomasville High.

Alabama Wellness Mission begins Monday in Monroeville and Thomasville to provide no-cost health care to all residents over the age of 2. Military personnel will provide medical, dental and optical care to patients on a first-come, first-served basis at Monroe County High School and Thomasville High from May 28-June 4. Hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Public is invited to join us for opening ceremonies at each location at 7.30 a.m.

Services provided will include non-emergency medical treatments and screenings, dental cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, eye exams and single-vision prescription glasses. In addition to receiving medical services, residents will be able to obtain information at clinic sites about local healthcare services, public health programs, resources and general healthcare information to promote continued wellness.

No appointments are necessary at either location, though residents are encouraged to arrive early to ensure an opening for services.
