I don’t love trying to deliver ancient wisdom, beauty, and healing — and having it get lost in a feed. And honestly, endless scrolling isn’t very Ayurveda-approved. But education and beauty are. 🥰💫

If I could stand next to you right now, I’d say:
“Get off this screen and get into your life. Go hug someone. Make a phone call. Drive to see the sunset. Climb a hill and get a little sweaty.”

I want you to be able to find what you’re looking for. Pinterest lets me organize Ayurveda better — visually, practically — so you can save it and come back to it when you actually need it.

Ayurveda says the body is the vessel, but the spirit is what fills the vessel. And right now, my spirit — and my art self — is calling me over to Pinterest.

I sold over 70,000 copies of my book… and earned $23 in royalties.

Yes, you read that correctly. No, it’s not a typo. Welcome to publishing.
Here’s the quick story:

The publisher took Ayurveda For Life (an $18 book), slapped a new cover and title on it, and re-released the same book as Everyday Ayurveda — including a special edition sold through 1,100 Five Below stores for $5 — where I earned a grand total of five cents per copy.

After a couple years of this circus, I finally bought all my rights back.

And now… Ayurveda For Life is officially mine again — back as a softcover, restored to its original name, and ready to be shared directly with the people who need my help improving their lives.

If you want one — for yourself or as a gift — I’ll send you a signed copy. I have 800 books in my kitchen and sometimes this is how things get done.

Just finished my workout — indoors today because of the rain. Normally, I move outside because Ayurveda teaches that nature heals us.

Dear Overthinkers, you don’t have to interpret everything.

That look your coworker gave you, the slow reply to your text, the email where someone “liked your idea” in quotes? 🙄 😂

You don’t have to assign meaning to all of it. Not all of it warrants your energy or attention. Sometimes…it’s just Thursday.

If you’re spending half your mental energy turning neutral things into negative stories, that’s why you’re so tired. Mental effort drains you just as much as physical effort.

Try this today: Read the email without decoding it. Hear what they are saying from a neutral place. Notice a thought and don’t turn it into a whole narrative.

You don’t need more analysis — maybe you need less.

When the “what if” thoughts start to spiral, just say: “Stop.”
Then actually stop. (It really can be that simple.)

Take a breath. Look around. Remember: what actually matters is still okay. 🚐 ✨

If your life feels uncertain right now…what if you’re just in the middle of your movie? 🎬 Not the end. Just the messy part that makes the whole thing meaningful.

You know the part in the movie where things are a little rough?

The main character’s been knocked down. Maybe they lost something big — a job, their identity, their direction, their confidence, their worth — and they’re not sure what comes next.

But we don’t leave the theater when that part happens.
No way. We lean in…and we root for them!
We know it’s not the end — it’s the transformation.
The stretch of the story that makes the ending meaningful.

So if you’re in a chapter that feels uncertain or messy, maybe you’re just in the middle of your movie. ✨

Let yourself not have it all figured out today.

It can still be a good day — because you realize it’s unfolding.
And THAT might actually be exciting!
Because when your dreams come true, you know they’re going to be SA-weet!

(And let’s be honest: movies would be boring if everything went right. We wouldn’t even buy a ticket.)

The best movies are where someone goes through something hard — and finds their way anyway.

Feeling anxious, scattered, or low lately? Try this ancient fix that costs $0.

When I was a designer, I used to say:
“I am water…I take the shape of my container.”
Because design felt like a service.

When I was an agent/recruiter, I used to say:
"I'll take their call. I might not be able to place them but they might need a kind voice."
Because being a recruiter felt like an honor.

SERVICE is why we each took a birth.
We are ALL serving others, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
It is in our nature to do so, as humans.

So! If you’re feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed — those lower-level thoughts and emotions — it’s usually because there’s too much focus on the self. (!!)

That’s why, when we take the focus off ourselves and offer a little help to someone else, we feel more in flow.
We feel lighter.
We feel like we did something good today.
We feel like we MATTER.

So if you’re down about yourself/your world, spin it around.
Instead, focus on who you can help today.
You’ll feel better and you’ll put some good into the world for someone who needs a boost.

What’s ONE small thing you can do to serve today?
Something that adds more hope, more joy — and maybe even a little extra pizazz. 🙌

Hope this helps uplift you out of stagnation or stress.
If you reach some people who need your help today, you’ll feel better fast.

…I got to see Cyndi Lauper at the Hollywood Bowl for her final concert of her farewell tour — the LAST show ever. Pure magic: Cher, John Legend, Joni Mitchell (!!).

The process was a little random:
I bought nosebleed seats on a whim, and my daughter couldn't go.

So I invited my coach (he has fancy season box-seats, but no tix for Cyndi), he lit up and said, “I usually sit waaay down there, but I NEVER see all this. I NEVER get THIS view — the Hollywood sign, the hills, the stars.”

We toasted all night, “We are lucky people. We are the lucky ones.”

Here is a consistent learning: When I isolate, over-plan, or over-analyze, I starve my energy. It shows up as brain-fog, heaviness, doubt, lack of motivation.

But when I follow a gut “yes,” energy flows back in almost instantly. Do you feel the same sometimes too?

☀️ If you feel like that, here’s your homework:
Instead of asking yourself, “What should I do?” ask yourself, “What does my gut say is the best thing for me to do right now?”

And then respond to that. That is internal guidance. Doesn't require a lot of thinking (zilch!) it's a feeling, a vibe and it refuels you.

That’s where energy comes from — not pressure, not “shoulds.”

You don’t power up from pushing. You power up from joy.
