What does leadership look like when it’s rooted in relationship? 🌱

In this video, Alsana CEO Jordan Watson shares the philosophy that guides his role: an “inverted pyramid” approach to leadership, where leaders exist to support the people doing the work every day.

For Jordan, leadership isn’t about directing from above. It’s about being present with teams. It means listening closely, understanding what’s needed, and making sure staff have the support and resources to do meaningful work.

When people feel seen, supported, and valued, healing becomes possible — not just for clients, but for the whole community.

This conversation reflects Jordan’s hope that leadership at Alsana feels relational, supportive, and grounded in shared purpose.

Adolescence is a time of growth, change, and discovery — and for some young people, it’s also when eating disorders begin to take hold.

At Alsana, we believe recovery should be met with compassion, structure, and meaningful support.

We have expanded services at our Westlake Village outpatient location with a new in-person Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents, designed to support young people and their families during this important stage of recovery.

We are now accepting inquiries for the program. For families seeking care or providers looking to refer, we invite you to connect with our team to learn more.

Why do we do this work? 🫶🏼

In this video, Alsana’s Chief Clinical Officer Keesha Amezcua shares what Alsana’s mission — to be a source of hope and healing in the world — means to her.

For Keesha, healing is never just about one person. It includes the loved ones who stand beside them and the providers who walk with them through recovery.

Because when one person heals, that healing reaches further than we can always see.

This conversation reflects Keesha’s commitment to showing up to this work in a wholehearted way, alongside a team united by purpose, authenticity, and care for the humans we serve. We’re grateful to be part of work that holds so much meaning.

At Alsana, we exist to be a source of hope and healing in the world. ✨

These words are more than a mission statement. They guide how we show up every day for the individuals and families who trust us with their care.

Hope and healing often begin in quiet ways, in moments of connection, in the courage to ask for help, and in the steady support that makes recovery possible. Our mission shapes how we build our programs, support our teams, and partner with providers and families across the country.

Meaningful recovery is about more than treatment. It’s about helping people reconnect with themselves and rediscover what is possible.

You deserve hope. You deserve healing. You deserve flowers. 🌼

Healing often begins with a place to land. ❤️‍🩹

At Alsana, our residential treatment programs offer a supportive and structured environment where individuals can step away from the pressures of daily life and focus fully on recovery. Within our residential communities, clients are met with compassion, clinical expertise, and individualized care designed to support healing in every area of life.

Our Residential Programs are located in Birmingham, Alabama and across California in Monterey, Santa Barbara, Thousand Oaks, and Westlake Village, providing peaceful and nurturing settings where recovery can take root.

Recovery is not a one-size-fits-all process, and residential care can offer the steadiness and support needed to begin again.

Last month, we had the privilege of opening our doors in Westlake Village and welcoming members of our community into the space we’ve so thoughtfully created. 🌷

Our In-Person Adolescent IOP/PHP treatment center is designed to feel both grounded and nurturing. It's a place where families can exhale, where healing can take root, and where young people feel truly seen.

Sharing this space with providers, community partners, and loved ones reminded us why environment matters so deeply in recovery. Treatment isn’t only about the modalities we use — it’s about the feeling of safety, connection, and steadiness that surrounds them.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and continues to support adolescents and families navigating eating disorder recovery.

Healing should never be limited by geography. 📍

Alsana is now accepting inquiries for Virtual PHP and IOP programs in South Dakota, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont, and West Virginia, making it easier for individuals and families to access specialized eating disorder treatment from home.

Virtual treatment can offer a meaningful path forward for those who need structured, comprehensive care but may not have a local treatment option available. Through our virtual programs, clients receive consistent support from a multidisciplinary team while continuing to engage with their daily lives and support systems.

Expanding into these new states reflects our ongoing commitment to increasing access to thoughtful, whole-person eating disorder treatment across the country.

Whether you are a provider seeking options for a client, a family exploring next steps, or someone considering treatment for yourself, our team is here to help you find the level of care that fits your needs. 🫶🏼

Our values are revealed in the ways we show up in big moments and small ones alike. 💫

Clinical Integrity. Whole-Heartedness. Mutual Respect. Thoughtful Engagement. Rooted Reliability.

These tenants guide our decisions, our relationships, and our care. They shape how we listen and how we lead. They allow us to build a steady trust over time. At Alsana, values aren’t something we hang on the wall — they’re something we practice, every day, together.

At Alsana, the Three Truths are not aspirational ideas — they are a promise we make to every person who enters our care.

They guide how we build our programs, how our teams show up, and how we hold space for healing day after day. They remind us that recovery is not only about treatment plans or outcomes, but about the experience of being human within care.

To feel rooted.
To feel engaged.
To feel respected.

These truths are woven into every interaction, every level of care, every chapter of the healing journey. They are our commitment to creating environments where healing doesn’t just begin but truly takes hold.

March invites both steadiness and change. 🌿

As the season begins to shift, we’re reminded that growth doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes, it looks like showing up. Sometimes, it looks like staying. And sometimes, it looks like reaching for support.

This month, each event reflects our commitment to connection — with our clients, with one another, and with the broader recovery community.

Whether you are a current client, a loved one, a referral partner, or someone exploring care for the first time, we’re grateful you’re here.

Last weekend at the iaedp Symposium, we had the opportunity to gather alongside so many dedicated professionals who share a common purpose: supporting healing and recovery in the eating disorder community.

There is something deeply meaningful about stepping out of our day-to-day work and into a space filled with people who care so deeply about this field — clinicians, dietitians, physicians, advocates, and leaders all working toward the same goal. These moments of connection remind us that this work is bigger than any one program or organization.

We returned feeling inspired, grounded, and grateful, carrying new ideas, renewed energy, and an even deeper appreciation for this community of providers who continue to raise the standard of care together.

To everyone we connected with this weekend: Thank you for the conversations, the learning, and the shared commitment to meaningful recovery. You deserve flowers. 🌼

Our Story

Eating disorders are not one-size-fits-all . . . and treatment shouldn't be either. Recovery is possible, and recovery starts at Alsana. Clients come to Alsana when they need intentional and intensive help. Alsana approaches recovery by getting to the core of eating disorders. Our integrated eating disorder treatment builds independence and restores hope. At Alsana, your story is at the center of your recovery. Alsana’s full continuum of care includes residential, partial hospitalization, IOP (intensive outpatient) and transitional living. Our comprehensive eating disorder treatment empowers our clients for a life of recovery. Our clients collaborate with their treatment team in creating an individualized plan with unique goals, objectives, interventions and assignment. We provide specific treatment approaches for eating disorders and co-occurring disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, Trauma/PTSD, major depression, multiple addictions or other conditions. Alsana offers a team of specialists, each with different skills, including therapists who have subspecialties in each of these problem areas. Most importantly, we have dietitians who listen to the client and work with each individual’s unique metabolic requirements.
