There are 4 distinct types of insomnia we see in clinic.

Each one points to something different happening in your body.

🥱Can’t fall asleep?

Your nervous system has been running on high alert for so long it no longer feels safe settling down.

Rest feels like vulnerability — even when everything is technically fine.

🥴Restless sleep?

Your body is sleeping with one eye open.

Technically asleep, but still vigilant. Still braced.

The stress response never got to release.

🙄Waking between 2–4am?

In Chinese medicine this maps directly to the Liver — the system responsible for processing, moving, and releasing what’s been held too long.

Constant go-mode without enough down time. Unprocessed stress. Unexpressed frustration. Hormone imbalance.

The most radical thing you can do as a high-functioning woman? 👉Schedule time where you’re the one being helped.

Not because you can’t handle it all.
