We’re so lucky to have her!
Congratulations to Mrs. Katherine Posey, kindergarten teacher at Tilghman Elementary, for being honored with the TCPS Education Foundation Teacher of the Month Award! In her first year at TES, Mrs. Posey has quickly become an important part of the school community. She has built strong relationships with her students and their families and has created a classroom where our youngest learners feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day. She understands the importance of the early childhood years and works to foster curiosity and a love of learning in her classroom. Mrs. Posey recently represented Tilghman Elementary at the February Board of Education meeting, where she shared how she works with her mentor and uses student data to plan intentional instruction that meets the needs of her learners. She deeply knows her students and advocates for the supports they need to be successful. Her work reflects a strong commitment to her students, their families, and the Tilghman Elementary community.
