In Celebration of Happy Veterans Day to my Dad ♥️ My dad joined the Navy when he was 19 and re-enlisted in San Diego in 1996. After 20 years over 6 awards + achievements in the Navy he had something to be damn proud of. Always a hard worker and fighting the good fight. Love you Dad ♥️

!! I can’t believe this day has come. 60 days of support, accountability and the best team I could have asked for!

Tomorrow marks my dads 60TH birthday. When COVID first hit I was in a s**t living situation. However I’m a firm believer that s**t situations bring us to what is meant to happen and everything truly does happen for a reason - whether you believe that or not is your choice.

I was pushed to move back home at 31. I now know looking back that this was the last tome I was going to spend with my dad before he died. During that time I decided in join in on the 30 miles in 30 days. Every day I left the house my dad would ask me where are you going? Did you sanitize them car and door handles when you came back in? Calling me relentlessly throughout the day when I would be out running. My dad saw me at my lowest but always said to me “you always seem to figure it out for yourself”

Time doesn’t stop, but you can. Everything we do in life is a choice. My choice was to go back home I know now happened for this reason - to spend time with him and show him the life that I want to live.

My hope for everyone is that you be the person you want to love. Do the things that bring you pure joy and when you wake up in the morning you look forward to them and not as chores. I spent a long time trying to please everyone around me to do things and make choices I didn’t like about myself. Be the person you wild want to love and the rest will follow.

To everyone that has stuck by me, continued to support me, I love you more than I could ever say. 💛 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I love you and I wish I could talk to you one last time 🧡

Eventually you have to decide what’s important to you and let go of everything else.

Ask yourself, what is the end goal why am I doing this? For the first couple years into my fitness journey I was in a sprint to flatten to my stomach and THEN I would be happy.

Drained my bank account. Took out a huge loan for personal training and couldn’t afford bills, food, gas you name it. My bank account went negative just about every week but I told myself it’s fine because I’m prioritizing my health.

It’s not fine. It’s not healthy to constantly be stressed out and financially strained. It’s not healthy to be napping for 2 hours a day and not want to get out of bed because you don’t have any money.

You can sprint to get those 6 pack ABS or flat stomach and then what? Do you do things outside of a day at the gym to make yourself fulfilled? Health and Wellness shouldn’t cost you your life. It’s a lifestyle, a lifestyle you adapt to in time. Your time.

Let’s help each other be better because let’s be honest... is your mind isn’t right how can you be?

WHATS UP WITH THE SUPPS?

Let’s be honest... the fitness industry is constantly pumping out info and it’s like - who and what do we believe?

When I first started out fitness in general I had no clue what I was doing or that I needed to supply my body with certain products to get the most out of my workout and overall health. I spent thousands of dollars on personal training and always felt depleted. Taking 1-2 hours nap before a bar shift. My energy was low and I constantly searched for something with sugar, caffeine anything to try to “wake me back up”
—————————————————-
This year I stumbled upon which was a blessing in disguise. Now I know what you’re thinking “oh here we go another person trying to make a sale” like I always say on my stories/post I never promote or talk about anything I don’t stand by in my everyday life. My two go-to’s for my everyday routines are the post work out stack and the reds & greens 🥬 The post workout stack helps me restore my energy levels and recovers my muscles so I can work out again the next day. RECOVERY IS KEY. Trust me you need this.
——————————————————-
If you want to work on supporting your gut and immune health GO for the reds and greens! This s**t will change your life. Bloating, digestion, fighting off colds, you name it. If you wanna know more you know what do, Don’t think I have to tell you!

It starts with day 1, choosing to change your routine or put something new into your routine that will help you stay balanced, focused and feeling good. That’s what fitness should be about. Not what you look like always but how you feel.

Motivation. How do we find it? How do we keep it?
———————————————————-
There’s always a reason why we start, why we want to change our habits. THE WHY that carries you through to that 6am spin class, that 4 mile run your best friend makes you do, that hour long grueling lifting session that makes you feel like a bad ass after.
———————————————————
For me it’s a feeling. Feeling the natural high that makes you happy from salt sweat and tears. The feeling of accomplishment. When I feel tired or I’m dragging ass I remember how it makes me feel when I’m DONE. Always chase that feeling. Book the 6am class. Stay on top of the things and make it a HABIT that will fuel your soul and push you to keep going.
——————————————————
The light is at the end of the tunnel but you have to push to get there.
