Hello lovebugs 💙
I wanted to share a quick update with you all.
This trip to Jamaica has been absolutely beautiful and truly refreshing. However, as some of you may have heard, there’s a hurricane named Melissa heading towards us. The island is expected to experience heavy rain, strong winds, and possible flooding over the next few days.
✨ First and foremost — we are safe and okay.
Right now, we’ve only had some light rain and gentle winds. Hasn't stopped our motion! The resort has been wonderful about keeping everyone informed and safe. They’re taking every precaution. Preparing sandbags, securing windows and doors, and implementing their safety plan for all guests.
I’m scheduled to return to work on Thursday, but there’s a possibility of travel delays since Jamaican airports are closed. We’ll just have to take it day by day and see how things go 🤷🏾♀️.
More than anything, my heart and prayers are with the people of Jamaica. This island and its people are so full of warmth and love. We will eventually get home and back to "normal" life...this is their home. Please keep the people of Jamaica in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare for the storm.
