Kara Cares was launched to support the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore by saving your soda pop, soup, and canned food tabs. These tabs help support the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore, a "home-away-from-home" for the families of seriously ill children being treated in nearby hospitals. We have a large donation center at 401 Jefferson Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21286. Also, if you are interested, we have Kara Cares stickers that you can have to place on your collection jar to keep at your business to help collect as many tabs as possible -- for more information, message us. Pop-tabs remind us of an important lesson: even little things make a big difference. Pop-tabs helps us pay the bills so moms and dads need not worry about where they will stay while their children are in the hospital. Looking for a community service project? Pop-tabs are a fun way for individuals, schools and organizations to get involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore. We would love to take any of your donations!! The tabs are taken to a local recycling center, where they are weighed and redeemed for cash per pound. This money goes directly into the Ronald McDonald House's main operating fund to support their mission of service to children and their families. Besides benefiting the families, collecting these tabs is an environmentally friendly practice! We take monetary donations as well.
