For my friends who have desk jobs and stiff knees, give this simple and effective device a try! It was designed by a PT school buddy of mine and she knows her stuff! Also remember to use “exercise snacks” (air squats, walking, etc) get up and change body position as often as you can to support circulation and keep tissues/joints mobile for less knee ache and stiffness end of day.

Most people take omega-3s for heart health, but they also change your muscle tissue. Not just inflammation. Not just triglycerides. Actual muscle biology.

This diagram breaks down what happens to omega-3 fats (EPA + DHA) once they enter your system, and why they influence insulin sensitivity, energy use, fat storage, and even protein synthesis.

1. It starts in the gut.

Omega-3s come in through the diet → absorbed in the small intestine → packaged into chylomicrons and VLDLs.

2. They move through the bloodstream.

From here, EPA and DHA end up in HDL particles, plasma, and eventually… the muscle membranes themselves.

3. Once omega-3s enter muscle, everything changes.

They modify the fatty acids sitting in the surface of muscle cells, leading to:

• Better insulin sensitivity
• Better glycogen use
• Less fat stored inside muscle
• Higher metabolic flexibility

This is one of the reasons omega-3 intake improves glucose control, even without changing calories.

4. Omega-3s activate a whole network of enzymes (phospholipases).

These enzymes shift the “internal messaging” inside muscle cells:

Lipase D → boosts long-chain omega-3 phospholipids

Lipase C → influences IP3/DAG signaling tied to protein synthesis

Lipase A2 → drives eicosanoid pathways tied to new sarcomere formation

In simple terms:
Omega-3s don’t just sit in the membrane — they signal the muscle to build, repair, and use energy differently.

5. The end result is that muscle that’s richer in long-chain omega-3s shows:

• Better insulin response
• Less intramuscular fat
• Less energy wasted on fat synthesis
• Potential improvements in protein synthesis
• Better metabolic function overall

This is why omega-3s keep showing up in studies on athletic recovery, lean mass retention, aging, and metabolic health.

And omega-3s speak the language of muscle health.

We enjoyed our visit to the Kinergy Center and Natural Path Market! We learned about amino acids, and their role in muscle and brain health. Follow their page for more educational events. Yesterday’s lecture was something special 💚

We had the pleasure of hosting an amino acids talk with Emily Farkas, and the room was filled with people who truly care about their health, their families, and learning how to do better.

There’s just something different about being in a space with like-minded people… asking questions, sharing experiences, and growing together. This is exactly why Natural Path Market exists.

Emily did an amazing job breaking down a complex topic into something practical and easy to understand—and we’re so grateful she shared her time and knowledge with us.

1️⃣consistency. Both Sara and I say this on repeat. Before you worry about how specialized your program is, or how heavy you’re lifting. Get consistent. Be comfortable in your body and enjoy your workout 🏋️ then in time you can start to play and specialize your program.

✨Let’s not over complicate being healthy.
✨Start with consistency as your first goal and build on that.
✨ Overly specialized programs are not superior to the foundational principles.

Consistency beats complexity when it comes to resistance training. 💪

I am so grateful the Lord inspired me to offer these Restful Rosary 📿 Flo’s during Lent. It took me a minute to follow through, pride and ego stalled me a bit. Would anyone sign-up?

But the Lord reminded me, it was never about me or the outcome; rather, it was about being obedient to a request from God. That also took a minute.

But,I obeyed and God delivered. These were some of the most fulfilling classes I have taught and it brought people together who did and didn’t know the rosary prayers. But we all shared in a unified experience of peace, love, community and prayer.

Thank you to all who came and tried these classes. Thank you to Sara for allowing us to use the studio space.

We believe the rosary is an active prayer that keeps on going to fulfill its purpose long after the praying is done. I hope all prayer requests will be answered. 🙏
