Donna Temple-Bohl, born on March 24, 1927, passed away on November 30, 2025, leaving behind a rich legacy as both an educator and a beloved family member. As the owner of Kiddie Kastle, Donna dedicated over 40 years of her life to teaching and nurturing thousands of children in pre-kindergarten and kindergarten, forever impacting the lives of countless families in her community. Her commitment to early childhood education was underscored by her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, highlighting her passion and expertise in the field.

Donna was not only an esteemed businesswoman but also a devoted family member. Loving mother of Michael (Brenda) Temple, and the late Mark (Debbie) Temple. Donna's family tree continues to flourish with her cherished grandchildren, Amy, Jason, and Stephanie, as well as her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Chloe, Brendan, Conner, Deric, Abbie, Jake, Laila, Emma, Jack, Declan, and Brooklyn. Most recently, she was blessed with great-great-grandchildren Finn, Grey, Kaden, Alaina, Luna, and Jameson, all of whom she adored.

Although Donna experienced the pain of loss throughout her life—having her first husband Chuck Temple, and second husband John Bohl precede her in death, along with her son Mark Temple, granddaughter Colleen, sister Snooky, and her parents Archie and Dorothy McCallum—she maintained a spirit of resilience and love for her family that was infectious.

Visitation for Donna will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183. A prayer service will start at 6:00 PM. A service and burial will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church, in Windsor, ON, dates and times are pending.

Donna Temple-Bohl’s legacy lives on through her family and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.

Pamela Ann Caldwell, a beloved pillar of her family and a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on July 10, 1960, in River Rouge, Michigan, Pam filled her life with treasured moments and shared laughter, especially during her cherished activities of spending time with her family and playing bingo

Pam’s devotion to her family defined her life. She was the beloved wife of Michael, with whom she shared a beautiful journey for over 40 years, having married on December 7, 1985. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth, joy, and a strong sense of family

She was a loving mother to her children: Christopher Caldwell, Sandra White, Lester (Amanda) Caldwell, Anthony Caldwell, and Pamela (Bill) Adams. Each of her children carried a piece of her heart, and Pam took immense pride in their accomplishments and the special person each became.

As a Nana, Pam's light shone brightly in the lives of her grandchildren: Michael, Sabrina, Steven, Haven, Ava, Giovanni, and Baby Adams. Her love for them was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent creating memories together.

Pam is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Theresa, Diane, and Linda, who will forever treasure her gentle spirit and unwavering support. She leaves behind many other loving family members and friends whose lives were enriched by her warmth and compassion.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Mary, and her sister-in-law, Sandy. All were there to welcome her home with open arms. Her legacy of family love, strength, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her. As we remember Pam, we celebrate a life dedicated to nurturing connections, spreading kindness, and loving deeply—memories that will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.

Jack Kripowicz

Jack Kripowicz, a beloved social studies teacher and tireless public servant, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years old.

Jack was married for 69 wonderful years to his high school sweetheart, Rose, with whom he built a life grounded in love, learning, and service.

A dedicated educator, Jack was known throughout the Trenton community as a beloved social studies teacher, public servant, and someone who always worked toward the betterment of his community. His true passion was education—helping shape young minds and leaving a lasting impact on generations of students. He was voted Most Influential Teacher by multiple graduating classes and was honored through his induction into the Trenton Education Foundation’s Wall of Fame.

Jack’s commitment to public service extended far beyond the school walls. He served the City of Trenton with distinction, including as a member of the Trenton City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem from 1981 to 1989. His leadership, integrity, and devotion to civic responsibility left a lasting imprint on Trenton and communities throughout Downriver.

Jack devoted himself to the betterment of his community in countless ways—serving in leadership roles within local and district Democratic clubs, contributing his expertise on the boards of regional and local hospitals, supporting his parish at St. Timothy’s, and by mentoring and campaigning for several first-time candidates for public office who have gone on to significant leadership roles in the State of Michigan.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Rose; their children Jack (Linda) Christopher, Mary Jo Kripowicz, and Kelly Walters; and his cherished grandchildren Jake, Veronica, Stephen, and Claire. His legacy of kindness, civic engagement, and dedication to lifelong learning will live on through his family, former students, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Gary W. Rice, a devoted family man, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 5, 1947 to Doris Pearl Martin and Wilburn Elwood Rice.

Gary was the loving husband of Kim Rice, with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage on November 7. He was a caring dad to Tami Dawson (the late Joel), Sheri Devlin (Jim), Bryan Rice (Jennifer), and Sara (Dennis "D.J") Orban. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Gennifer Brumo (Mike), Jamie Galvan (Ramiro "Rami"), Brooklynn Rice, Morgan Rice, Brent Orban, Nancy Orban, Kyle Orban, and the late Kelli Dawson. Gary was also a proud great grandpa to Sofia Brumo, Millie Brumo, Olivia Brumo, and Silas Galvan. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Jack Webb, niece, Jodi Vogeli, and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his family, Gary's interests included reading, walking his dogs, hiking and exploring the outdoors, and being an avid fan of U of M football and hockey. He found joy in sharing these passions with his loved ones.

Gary dedicated many years of his life to his career at General Motors as a hardworking millwright. He was a proud high school graduate who cherished the importance of family and held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

Gary is survived by his family, including his children and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Doris Pearl Martin and Wilburn Elwood Rice, as well as his sister, the late Gail Webb, and his nephew, Jason Webb.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI, 48101. A funeral service will follow that same day, starting at 6:00 PM and concluding at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association in memory.

Edward J. Kowalczik

Edward J. Kowalczik, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Born on February 4,1943, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Edward lived a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others.

Edward was an electrical engineer who dedicated his career to DTE Energy before enjoying a well-earned retirement. His love for technology was rivaled only by his passion for life and the joy he brought to those around him. He graduated in 1961 from Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, laying the foundation for a life of learning and adventure.

A proud veteran, Edward served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of duty and honor that defined his character. His military service inspired a commitment to community engagement, and he remained an active and long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Newport, MI. There, he served as an usher, generously sharing his time and warmth with everyone who walked through the church doors. Edward was also a valued member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13475 in Grosse Ile, MI and earned his Fourth Degree through the Knights of Columbus Council # 0475 in Wyandotte, MI; working tirelessly to enhance the loves of those around him.

He was known to be a very loving and caring man who had a unique gift for making people laugh and smile. He enjoyed a variety of hobbies that included bowling, playing softball, playing cards, and camping, which often brought family and friends together to create lasting memories. His laughter and joy were infectious, touching the hearts of everyone he encountered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Michaelene (Chlebek), with whom he shared an incredible 57 years of marriage, they were married on August 10, 1968. Together, they built a beautiful family that Edward was immensely proud of. He leaves behind three children: Cheryl Clark, Michele Kowalczik, and Michael (Rachel) Kowalczik. Edward’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren—Sara, Veronica (Curtis), Wyatt, and Grayson—as well as his great-grandchildren, Ashton and Liam. He also cherished his sister, Theresa (William) Morreau, and his brothers, John (Janet) Kowalczik and Anthony (Cheryl) Kowalczik. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless loving family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (Tarnowski) Kowalczik, who instilled in him the values of love and resilience that characterized his life and by his goddaughter Jacqueline (Chlebek) Carpp.

A visitation in Edward's honor will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Knights of Columbus Service Friday at 7 pm at The Ridge Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 2272 West Jefferson in Trenton, MI. There will be another visitation on November 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial both at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 8125 Swan Creek Rd., Newport, MI.

Edward will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his remarkable spirit, loving nature, and the joyful memories he created. His legacy of kindness and love will undoubtedly live on in the many lives he touched.

Edward Patrick Moore

Edward Patrick Moore, a beloved figure in the Monroe community and one of the former owners and manager of Monroe Collision, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on July 10, 1955, in Monroe, Ed was the son of Lawrence "Red" and June (Millard) Moore. He married the love of his life, Tami Brancheau, October 31, 1975, and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Ed devoted his life not only to his successful career but also to the values of family, friendship, and the simple joys found in nature.

Ed was a proud graduate of Dundee High School, Class of 1973. Being at Monroe Collision, is where he became known for his dedication to quality and customer service. Ed's commitment to excellence earned him a reputation as a trusted member of the community.

Outside of his professional life, Ed had a deep love for the outdoors. His hobbies included hunting, working in the woods, running his sawmill, and taking trips up-north, where he found a sense of peace and fulfillment. He just recently completed a successful bear hunt. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounded him. Ed was the “go to guy” for anything from questions regarding cars, guns and life. And if he didn’t have the answer he’d certainly find it for you! Always ready to tell a good story and keep us all entertained.

Ed leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tami; his brothers Terry Moore, Dan (Amanda) Moore; and his sister Mary (Pat) Wickenheiser; his mother-in-law, Anita Brancheau; and his in-laws - Ted (Vicki) Brancheau, Bob (Karen) Brancheau, Paulette (Don) Gilliland, Vicki (Darren) Hughes, and Randy (Jennifer) Brancheau; as well as many nieces and nephews. Each of these relationships brought joy and meaning to Ed's life, and his legacy will continue through the love he shared with them.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, including his sister Cathy (Earl) Navarre and brothers Tom (Sue) Moore and Larry Moore. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ted Brancheau Sr., and brother-in-law Ken Sharp.

A celebration of Ed's life has been planned under the care of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes-Allore Chapel 203 E. Elm Ave. Family and friends are invited to join together on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 2pm until 7pm, with a service at 5:30pm, allowing a time for remembrance and sharing. This gathering will reflect the warmth and happiness Ed brought into the lives of those around him, a true testament to a life well-lived. As we remember Edward Patrick Moore, let us cherish the memories shared and honor the love he gave so freely. His spirit will forever live in our hearts.

Born on November 5, 1936 in Monroe, Nancy was the daughter of Sylvester and Hilda (Baumeister) Cookson. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her countless contributions as a nurturing presence in their lives.

Nancy’s devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her existence. A proud mother to her five beloved children—Brian (Sue), Bruce, Kerri (Bob) Saunders, Karl, and Mike (Julie)—she instilled the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion in each of them. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who carry forward the bright spark of her spirit.

Beyond her role as a mother, Nancy was known for her passion for cooking, baking delightful treats that brought her loved ones together around the dinner table, where laughter and stories echoed against the backdrop of her cozy home. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and cherished her quiet moments spent with a good book, often found immersed in stories that ignited her imagination. Her interests were simple yet profound, reflecting a life rooted in the joy of everyday moments and shared experiences.

A faithful member of Woodland Church, Nancy found solace and strength in her faith. This community was an extension of her family, where bonds were formed through worship and service. She is survived by her adoring family, including her brother Carl Cookson, nieces Jemmie Cookson-Barry and Maschel (Jason) Rawlings, who will forever cherish the moments they spent with her. Jeffrey Nicholas Sabuda, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at Corewell Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. He was born on December 12, 1962, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Walter and Boleslawa (Modzelewski) Sabuda, who preceded him in death.

Jeffrey was adored by all who knew him, earning the affectionate nickname "Mr. Fix It" for his remarkable ability to mend anything that came his way. His generous spirit and willingness to help others knew no bounds, as he loved everyone unconditionally.

He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Nancy (Poulos), with whom he shared a life filled with love and adventure. Jeffrey was incredibly proud of his family, including his sons, Christopher and Patrick Sabuda, and his daughter, Jacqueline Sabuda. He will forever be remembered by them for his warmth, support, and enthusiasm for life.

In addition to his family, Jeffrey brought joy to the life of his dog, Buddy, and was surrounded by many other loving family and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

His legacy is one of kindness, passion for hockey, and an undying commitment to his loved ones. Jeffrey’s memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In keeping with Jeffrey’s wishes there will be no services. Memorial contributions to honor his life may be made to any location of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Leo Fay Oberdorf, born on August 11, 1931, in Lincoln Park, Michigan which is where he was raised and lived; he went home to be with the Lord, on November 24, 2025, in Riverview, Michigan leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family and community. He graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1949 and furthered his education at the Radio Electronic Television School (RETS), where he honed the skills that would support his career.

Leo proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict, a testament to his commitment to his Country. Following his service, Leo embarked on a successful career, initially working with Great Lakes Steel and later for Western Electric-Distant Early Warning. He ultimately retired from the Detroit News, where his contributions were valued and respected.

Leo was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ruth (Tosh) Oberdorf, with whom he shared 74 beautiful years of marriage since their union on March 17, 1951. Together, they nurtured a loving family that included their son's the late Stephen (Cathey) Oberdorf and Christopher (Suzanne) Oberdorf, daughters Leslie (Theodore) Benny and Cheryl (James) Hamilton. Leo took immense pride in his grandchildren: Matthew, Meghan, Christopher, Ryan, Josh, Kaytia, Eli, and Logan, as well as his great-grandchildren: Skylar, Noah, Langston, Lincoln, and Frankie.

He was also survived by his sister, Carol (Denny) Strong, along with many loving family members and friends who cherished his warm and giving nature. Leo's life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and his deep commitment to his faith, attending both First Baptist Church of Lincoln Park and Inter-City Baptist Church.

The visitation for Leo will be held on November 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. The Downriver Veterans Honor Guard will honor Leo’s service to our Country on Friday at 6 pm at the funeral home. Leo's funeral service will be on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, concluding the heartfelt celebrations of his life.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Chester and Erma (Seamen) Oberdorf, and his son Stephen, who will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those he left behind. As we remember Leo, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by unwavering dedication, a spirit of service, and the bonds of family that enriched his years.

Memorial contributions to honor Leo's life may be made to the Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary
