There’s a strange guilt around rest these days.
Like if you’re not doing something, you should be.

But your body doesn’t work like that.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is actually stop.
Not scroll. Not half-switch off. Properly stop.

Reflexology gives your system a chance to catch up - to settle, reset, and just breathe for a bit.

And weirdly… everything feels a bit easier after.

🌿 Hello, I’m Dianne — Aromatherapist at Harold Sargent Reflexology 🌿

I’m excited to share a little about how aromatherapy can gently complement reflexology in our practice. When used thoughtfully, essential oils can enhance relaxation, support emotional grounding, and deepen the overall sense of calm during a session.

Reflexology works through specific points on the feet to encourage relaxation and balance throughout the body. Aromatherapy adds another layer of support through scent—helping the mind and nervous system settle even more fully into rest. Together, they create a more immersive, calming experience.

A few important reminders about essential oil safety:

Essential oils are highly concentrated and must be properly diluted before skin use
Everyone is different—sensitivities, health conditions, and medications matter
Quality matters: we only use pure, professionally sourced oils
“Natural” does not automatically mean “safe for everyone”
Aromatherapy is used for relaxation and support—not as a medical treatment

In our sessions, your comfort and safety always come first. Any aromatherapy used is intentional, gentle, and based on informed consent.

I look forward to sharing more about this beautiful supportive practice with you.

This past week has been quiet for me here, and for good reason.

Last Sunday I experienced a sudden and significant intestinal issue that required me to step back, rest, and listen closely to my body. I’ve taken time away from normal routines, including food intake, and focused on allowing my system to settle and recover in a gentle way.

During times like this, I’m reminded how closely connected we are to our internal balance—digestion, stress, rest, and overall wellbeing all working together as one system.

As I begin to reintroduce soft nourishment in the coming days and ease back into daily activity, I’m grateful for the importance of a holistic approach to health: slowing down, paying attention, and supporting the body’s natural processes rather than rushing them.

This experience also reinforces what I see in reflexology every day—how the body responds when we create space for relaxation, balance, and improved circulation. While reflexology is not a treatment for illness, it is a powerful way to support the body’s own capacity for regulation and rest.

I’ll be back to my normal schedule hopefully, starting Monday, and I look forward to reconnecting with clients and continuing the work of , helping people feel more grounded, relaxed, and in tune with their bodies.

Thank you for your patience and support this past week.

🌿 Essential Oils + Carrier Oils: Why Balance Matters 🌿

Essential oils are powerful. Just a few drops hold the concentrated essence of an entire plant.
That’s why balance matters.

Instead of applying essential oils directly to skin, they’re blended with carrier oils like almond oil, avocado oil, or fractionated coconut oil. These oils help:

✨ Dilute essential oils so they’re gentle on skin
✨ Carry the plant benefits evenly across the skin
✨ Add nourishing moisture at the same time

It’s not about using more essential oil — it’s about using the right amount in the right balance.

At SweetAsHoney Co., every blend is thoughtfully measured so the ingredients work with your skin, not against it.

Sometimes the best formulas are the ones where every ingredient has a purpose. 🤍

Have you ever used a product where the oil blend felt just right — not too strong, not too light?

Calmness is foundational to better health and wellness. When it’s present, everything you build upon it has a greater chance to thrive.

Background tension, on the other hand, lays the groundwork for stress-related issues and ongoing complications. From there, chaos tends to build naturally.

So the question becomes: which foundation are you choosing—and where is it leading you?

If you’re curious about a different path, take a moment to learn about reflexology. Better yet, experience it for yourself and see how it may support your well-being.

Yesterday we held a day of free demonstration sessions, and the response was really encouraging. Those who were able to come in got a hands-on experience and a good sense of what reflexology can offer.

There were also quite a few people who were interested but couldn’t make it work with their schedules. With Easter and Spring Break, that’s completely understandable—and something I didn’t fully factor in.

So, I’m going to do it again.

I’ll be hosting another round of free demonstration sessions in May. If you missed this one, you’ll have another opportunity.

Keep an eye out—I’ll be posting details soon.

Reflexology can help you downshift in a very gentle and non invasive way. Techniques are applied to reflexes in your feet that correspond to specific locations and systems in your body. Your body responds with great relaxation, also known as reset. This is where your body can do its greatest natural work in repairing and readjusting so that it can work at greater efficiency.

Today was a great day to participate with providing Reflexology as part of Dayton RTA Employee Appreciation Day. Several new potential clients! Always exciting to introduce new people to this powerful tool.

Reflexology is simply applying a known technique to a known location to encourage the body to a reasonably expectable response. Reflex points are mapped on the feet and hands. They correlate to specific body locations, and systems, that respond with the applied technique.

Reflexology can help you downshift from your background tension, and rest/recover.
